I dont use a light meter.

And you should start a grow log... you will get tremendous help and suggestions on making your grow a better one, Im glad to see someone other than me has taken a step to T5 lights.
Oh and why would I laugh at your grow. We all start somwhere. As a matter of fact this is only my 3rd grow and This one has done better than the previous 2, there is a hell of alot to learn but thats what makes it so fun and enjoyable.
