If that was the case, people would be using the product for extraction of THC, since it would be mind numbingly easy then.
But, its not the case, and you cant use the product for extraction, mainly because it doesnt extract THC.
And who informed you that you cant get weed wet? Ive had weed that was dropped into a toliet bowl before, which smoked just fine after it was dried.
