Part 3 - What you’ll need:
Cooking Utensils:
Either: A Slow Cooker (see the first picture). Also known as a ‘Crock Pot’ in the States.
Or: A medium sized pan, a mixing bowl and a lid (see the second picture), and some hot water.
Ingredients:
Either: 1 gram of good Hashish (not soap bar).
Or: 1 gram of fine grained ‘keif’.
Or: 1.5 to 2 grams of good ‘Bud’
And: 15 grams (one tablespoon) of Ghee (clarified butter) or oil *(see above).
One gram of good hash or ‘kief’ is all you need to make enough butter/oil for four people, giving a trip length of around six to eight hours each. Just increase the quantities in proportion if you want to make more.
I recommend using ‘hashish’ or ‘kief’ rather than ‘Bud’ when cooking, because it is a simpler process of conversion. However, if you only have access to ‘Grass’ you can still convert it using the following method.
Grass method:
You’ll need to use 1.5 to 2 grams of good quality well cured bud to achieve the same results. Firstly, remove any stems or obvious leaf material then grind to as small a grain (powder) as you can manage. Follow the rest of the steps as normal, but remember ‘grass’ requires a longer period of simmering to break down the cellulose (plant) material in order to release all (or nearly all) the THC. I recommend a simmering period of not less than two hours, preferably three to four (or more if you don’t mind waiting).
