Hi Opie how's it going?
The clarified butter thing is a bit of a pain to be honest (as bogoljub777 quite rightly said in another thread it's not easy to get hold of).
I'm in the UK and until a couple of years ago only Indian cookery shops tended to sell it (It's widely used in curries), but now all the main supermarkets here carry it (it costs around £3.00 for 500 grams). One advantage, if you can find some, is (unlike regular butter) it'll last for years in the fridge.
You can make your own by slowly simmering a pack of regular (ideally unsalted) butter in a pan until all the milk and water content has evaporated (the frothy bit) just leaving a clear golden coloured oil. Let it cool and store in the fridge till you want to use it.
Regular butter has about 66 percent saturated fat but it has a lower burning point than clarified, so you can run the risk of burning your weed unless you're careful (oh yes, and it'll bubble and froth up quite a bit at first). Otherwise, it's not a bad substitute.

p.s. I'm using a lot of coconut oil at the moment (I prefer the taste, and it works great in the cannabis capsules I've been making), but that's even harder to find, but well worth getting if you see some.
