I live in Denver, and you are correct, your condition isn't recognized as something that could benefit from the use of Medicinal Marijuana. I'm not entirely sure as to what "alternatives" you are speaking about. However, not to sound like an unempathetic douche, but sounds to me like some Zoloft and some Nytol and you'll be good to go. I saw on the news how California Doctors practically hand out Marijuana Recommendations like it's candy. Not all places, but one doctor gave a kid a recommendation because he had headaches. So, not to undermine your condition, but unless your suffering from some debilitating condition, you moved to the wrong state.
