It's all atypical paranoia that most people have who are doing something that is "wrong" / deemed illegal by the government. It's a guilt thing to most or at the least a fear of going to jail.
I think we'll see cannabis legalized for medical use before it's legalized as a recreational drug like alcohol. Who knows, it could be legalized for medical use and possession of minor amounts decriminalized at the same time.
Everyone should get involved in politics and have more communications with their political leaders.
