Burning oil with knives is very dangerous...lol... I still have the scar on leg from like 20 years ago when a big blob didn't stay on the knife and "splat" then one quick wipe of the hand later... all skin was gone where it was sitting. But with some advice finally on this thread, how could I not listen?
I think a thin spoon heated up and a "glob" dropped on that might be a safer way.
