I did 13 females, 2 weeks into flowering...using this method back in 2005. Never lost a single leaf. I do it quick and trim away about 50% of the feeder roots and shake as much old soil off, as possible. I'm not sure why slicing the rootball from four directions with a sharp knife is needed...but, I do as I'm told ... I think the root stimulator is needed too, very weak dose.
