Well... the butter+hash/weed is heated to allow the THC to dissolve/mix in the butter, so as longer you heat as better the absorption of the THC by the butter. And mixing the molten butter helps a lot!
The amount of time you heat it is not critical, so you can get good results with both (25 min/1 hour). If you were in a hurry, heat it for only 25 minutes, and if you want to make sure it will work, heat it for 1 hour.
BTW, 5 grams of hash is a lot... dont eat all the brownies at once! Or you may get lost in another dimensions...
