You are correct about the loss of THC but there are things I do to preserve it. For starters, I will vape at lower temps so that not all the active compounds are released. Then. as I've mentioned in other threads, if I know I'm going to be making cannabutter, I only vape 2-3 bags which gets me plenty high. I could keep vaping and get the usual 5-7 bags per 0.4g of bud but I conserve when it's cannabutter time. I hope that helps clear things up.
