oh yeah and for vanilla best to buy a few bean pods and just throw that in your herb jar. vanilla bean pods are very pungent and when whole it is no problem for them to come into contact with ur herb. the pods may even last through many months of flavourings, so buy a few for quick flavourings (1-5 days) and keep them stored air tight when not in use
