Lung strength and capacity have little to do with big bong rips-- it's more about how sensitive your throat and lungs are, and there's very little you can do about that except smoke a lot.

Frankly, you should consider it a good thing that you can't handle massive rips-- it means you haven't completely killed your lungs with too much smoking.
