Did you know that the main reason why Cannabis was outlawed was because of the Tobacco companies and the newly found Pharmaceuticals that created Bayern were loosing money to the plant that was easily grown? There WAS once a time when Tobacco and Alcohal were ILLEGAL. MY POINT IS THAT JUST BECAUSE IT'S ILLEGAL DOESNT MEAN THAT IT'S BAD PEOPLE!!!

How many of yall would of thought 10 years ago that "Marijuana" would be actually legal for medicinal puposes in 12 states?! I'm tired of people bitching about America's atrocity's (sp..). Look, I will admit, I'm not very fond of this country. But why is it every one feels America should have a seperate history from the rest of the world?

We have practiced Slavery, people were not always treated equally (still really aren't), we gained this land by conquest, and gained our independence because we didn't want to pay taxes (only to still pay taxes just to a different government.

How is that any worse than any other country through history. Most have been land hungry like Rome. Many were barbaric at least at one point through histroy.Nations and Continents do not evolve all on the same level. Look at Africa, who really doesn't have much of anything as of now. Why is that, because greedy war lords won't let anyone live in peace.

The Middle East isn't much better.

Why is it expected that the history of this land would be any different. Why do people seem to think that our history should be spotless. Every nation evolves and grows and does a lot of shitty things to get there.

I'm not supporting this country, but if you are going to bash it, at least have a good reason.

As for weed being lilligal, I believe it is more heavily based on America trying to get Mexicans out of their country. Mexicans grew and smoked weed, if they made it illigal, the Mexicans would go back. Not pretty either way, but my point is, I have read several reasons as to why it is illigal today.

Which I might add, it is illigal in many places. Again everyone has a idealistic wish list of what they want in their nation.
