A lot of threads here are about the USA-side of the issue, but what's the news (if any) on the Canadian-side of the Cannabis laws? Is there even any hope while Harper is in office?

No hope at all with Harper. He is so hopelessly ignorant and narrow minded. It won't happen. 35 years ago, our Government appointed the LeDain Commission to study it...they came back and said it should be legalized. The answer we still get is...their studying it. What kind of a moron studies for 35 years?
They're studying until they find something wrong. Though I can tell you what's wrong with a xanax bar that they are more than happy to perscribe for my manic depression.
