ENTRAPMENT: YOu used to be able (i think) to buy, sell weed and if you asked the other person if they were a cop they would have to say "Yes" of they were...

I think one way you can tell if there cops is if there like " hey! you got any Marijuana?" or "do you wanna buy some Marijuana" They have to say the actual word dont they, no slang(like pot, or MJ).. atleast I think, please correct me if I'm wrong..

And another thing, if you were using pot and someone asked if they could have some could you tell them to take a couple hits first to make sure there not NARC officers? OR can NARCS smoke it, or use the illegal drugs to keep there cover?

Undercover police are allowed to lie to you. They can say they aren't a cop. There is not a safe phrase or sentence you can say that will work ... if there was, no one would get arrested. Selling is way to risky IMHO.

My 1st post here being new to the medical jane stuff in New Mexico and having high hopes for meeting a couple of bud friends and networking for scores so I can enjoy some. (My neighbors smoke but they tend to score for themselves just a little and hardly ever sell/share dammit).

As all would know...each state has their own laws and pretty much each town or city has it's own priorities when it comes to pot.
In New Mexico, any amount of pot under 8/eight ounces is a petty misdemeanor.
Sooo basically it's a who cares so far as narcs are concerned.
Now if ya were looking to haul in a few keys and want to set up a buzz bizz then you might want to be very careful.
Seriously though, if you are toking at a red light and a traffic cop sees/smells you then you will get busted and pay more than the $25.00 petty possession charge.
Selling is a bit more serious than just having some bud on you but all in all an ounce or so is nothing to get too worked up about.
Being a jerk selling will piss of a cop but if you're being cool and quiet then the odds are you won't get into any hassle.
Bottom line the police want crack and the hard crap and in quantity.
They will also get meaner when some clowns are disturbing the neighborhood with lots of come and go traffic.
Use your gut instincts if you are worked up getting busted for an ounce or less to sell to somebody walking up and asking and never met before.

I'm older and have seen such a bunch of paranoids under 30s who think the world will end if they get caught for such small amounts.
Cops are wanting to keep the streets clean and safe and so long as you don't become a pest making the neighborhood look bad then they really do have other things to do then to write up a petty crime like pot.

How to ''know'' a narc?

They can and will use any and all street lingo.
The only thing a narc CANNOT do is ingest any illegal drug, pot included.
Doesn't mean you need to insist they take a hit or few....
Sell a small amount and swap phone numbers if you and they want to do it again.
Do NOT sell at or near schools or such places unless things are cool.

I used to buy and sell all the time and never worried past driving with my best stash with me.
Hated to lose my favorite pipe so always left at home.

Bottom line....drive and smoke can ruin your day so keep the windows open and keep the smell out....don't toke and drive.
Once you sold to a new toker and things are cool, then be willing to sell more as you have and want.
Best to meet some where easy and in the open ofcourse if they are not a friend of a friend kinda deal.
Keep the traffic low and have as few of buyers as possible knocking at your door.
Make any and all call first then give them a time limit in minutes to get there or no sale.
No exceptions.
If a few feinds buy from you make them work together and have one come over so you won't end up with too many ''friends'' driving over and making your neighbors worried/upset.
Keep the noise down when selling and have the buyer leave soon but not too soon.
A 2 minute in and out several times a week by several buyers will get the wrong attention.

Some cities are stiffer in some parts of town and some have laws only you would know living there.

If you're looking to make a fortune then get wise first then go big.

If just wanting to sell some occasionally to pay for your own then use common sense and count on your gut instincts.

Had the most righteous bud over a month ago and nothing more than a couple of tokes from my neighbors who are too stingy to sell/share, since.

Willing to try and score at UNM area but kinda discouraged knowing really good bud is out there and I not having any cool friends who know where to get it.

Undercover LEO do NOT have to admit they are cops, they can lie to you, AND they can use drugs. They generally won't admit to using drugs because it doesn't go over too well in front of a jury but they can use them. Most will try not to use and they will use any means at their disposal to appear that they are ingesting when they are not.
