I wrote my final year university paper on Bioweapons (I had to do a LOT of convincing to get this project) I've studied genetics and microbiology to degree level. I spent time at Porton Down too with CAMR (Centre for Applied Microbiology Reasearch) as part of my project and afterwards in my first job after leaving university.

Good luck with that. We just heard on the news that if you got the shot for swine flu you are more likely to catch it than someone that didn't get the shot.

This is a contradiction to what the Center for Disease Control is states.

"In general, a person who is infected with an influenza virus one year will have some immunity to closely related viruses that may persist for one or more years. For example, if someone was infected with the A/New Caledonia/20/99-like strain of H1N1 that predominated during the 2006-07 season, they are likely to have some immunity that will protect them if they are exposed to that strain or a closely related strain again during the 2007-08 season."

So what's your point, to pat yourself on the back? All you did was tell us what you supposedly have done, however we didn't hear anything to directly disprove what he says. All you did was defame him, while sounding like an egotistical ass & that proves nothing.

Seems like he went through a lot of work & bullshit to put a 48 page deposition together for the FBI, just to sell a book(s). From what we've seen he hasn't written any new books in the last 2 1/2 years & we didn't hear him pushing any on us.

You think that is NORMAL? You get a shot for the flu & you die anyway! Ya right NORMAL.
It's mostly the elderly, sick & poor that are dying from it & don't forget the medpot users, what a great way to get rid of us!! All the ones that get the damn shot & are a burden on the health care system.

The only time we've gotten a flu shot (at the recommendation of our doctor) we got deathly ill. We've never had one since & have not had the flu either, it's been over 15 years.

If you don't think the government is capable of doing these kinds of things, then you are way undereducated & ignorant to the real world.

This is a repeat of the big Swine flu "epidemic" of 1976. Where people were fooled into getting the shot & only 4 people in the whole world had the virus.

There are 2 things to "worry" about for the H1N1 vaccination:
1.) Guillian-Barre syndrome - an autoimmune disease that will have your body attack your own myelin sheaths throughout the peripheral nervous system. This means paralysis starting at the limbs, and working its way up. Once your diaphragm is paralyzed - game over, you stop breathing (unless put on a ventilator quick enough). Read a stat that the H1N1 vacc. increases risk of contracting GBS by 8x.

2.)The other, of course, RFID chips. Supposedly the gov't is going to put these microchips into vaccinations and so people can be tracker. We've heard about RFID chips before....who knows, maybe I'm bugged

My friend's dad (a doctor) was telling him about these conspiracy theories, and was saying to think twice about getting the H1N1. (chatting about it yesterday)

At campus within the next month, they will be charging 10$ for seasonal flu vaccinations, and H1N1 vaccinations are going to be free.......Why have H1N1 free - so more people choose to get that?? conspiracies

I work in the health care field; HAD to get my H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine because I'd get fired otherwise, which is bullshit.

People are freaking out WAY too much about the H1N1 virus, it's something that's new- viruses mutate constantly- so of course people are panicking despite the death count being lower than that of the seasonal flu. We've seen cases upon cases of H1N1, primarily in children, and none of them have had serious complications.

We have certain particulate masks that filter out viruses in our lockers, and we're not required to wear them until the CDC tells us we should, and so far, there has been no word on it.

Delta9UK's got this shit down. Virology is an incredibly complex and VERY interesting field. I'm an ecological microbiologist, and that's got nothing on virology- viruses can mutate and do all kinds of terrible damage. H1N1's the new MRSA!

If they were trying to commit genocide and using H1N1, then they must not be very intelligent or creative. There are MUCH more efficient biological/virological ways to wipe out a large portion of the population. And if they're doing it for money, well that's also a big fail too- the vaccine is no more than the seasonal flu vaccine, and they can't even produce sufficient quantities of the vaccine. It's not like there's black market alley vaccination clinics, haha...

The common cold virus (rhinovirus) has been around for centuries. It's a very minor virus which mainly effects the upper respiratory system- runny/stuffed nose, headache, minimally-productive cough; viruses mutate each season, and each virus is rather predictable, with a few exceptions. It's highly unlikely that rhinovirus will turn into a massive strain that wipes out a large population. Developing bronchitis or moderate dehydration from rhinovirus is pretty much the most it'll do to you, MAYBE make you more susceptible to bacterial infections, but that's a stretch.

Most of the deaths from the influenza virus are complications triggered by secondary infections, such as developing pneumonia, high prolonged fever, or dehydration- things that people can get without having the flu.

From a microbiological standpoint of this flu craze, it's very disheartening to see so many physicians automatically prescribing antibiotics to patients who test positive for Flu A/B or H1N1. Most feel the need to in order to cover their bases, or to calm the parents' fears, but it's completely and utterly unnecessary unless the patient actually HAS an active bacterial infection.

Repeated exposure to antibiotics, especially the Penicillin and Vancomycin families are what's triggering the rise of MRSA and VRE infections. I could rant all day about this, but I'll leave it for another day, another thread.

^ Sounds like the guy's behind a lot of conspiracy theories and not just this. I agree that the government is trying to force an unnecessary vaccine on many people who absolutely have no need for it and risk any potential side effects for no reason, but this isn't some drug that is going to wipe out half the world.

People just need to stop worrying about H1N1, it's far less serious than the normal flu and Cannabis smokers have the added protection of the fact that Cannabis slows down the immune system, which stops the virus sending your body's immune system into overdrive, which can be potentially fatal.

Just to add something on HIV/AIDS - I doubt that it would mutate to an airborne variant (thankfully!).

The thing to realise in the differences between HIV and for example Influenza/Flu is that influenza is a respiratory virus, it's droplet spread and it invades the cells lining the air ways - nose, trachea and sinuses while HIV does not target those.

It would take fundamental "redesign" of the virus for that to happen - HIV targets immune cells in the linings of the membranes and although it could target these cells in the nasal passages too - BUT they are far fewer in number than the regular cells which line the airways - also the amount of virus needed to lead to infection is quite large.

You would just about drown from the amount of fluid entering the airways before getting HIV this way. The virus also does not occur in secreations from the respiratory tract so you can't sneeze out HIV, it is secreated into saliva but you need a large amount to transmit it via kissing (having wounds in the mouth or inflammation reduces this amount). Someone with a high viral load (the amount of virus in your body) could maybe spit on a fresh would and possibly transmit HIV that way but that hasn't been documented yet.

HIV doesn't have any insect vector transmission as the inoculum is too small and conditions in vectors like a mosquito are HIV unfriendly. HIV can't survive for more than a few minutes outside the human body.

So it wouldn't be impossible but very very unlikely.

Someone said they were forced to get an H1N1 nasal shot? Even if you work in a hospital, there has got to be someone that begs to differ with that. OuR pediatrician said not to even worry about Swine Flu (or as it originated....Mexican Pig Flu)

Tell me something I don't already know. Where have you been? I have known about vaccines for over a decade! Yes the vaccines are totally geared toward viral contamination and population control. My wife's doctor told her "More people are getting sick from getting the H1N1 vaccine that people who are not getting the vaccine." There can be as many as 40 viral contaminants per vaccine including CANCER!

But Thank you for telling people, although you can tell 200 people and you are lucky if even one person actually believes you, and does not think you are delusional or paranoid or a conspiracy theorist.
