"ohio legalize marijuana" on any search engine will get you in touch with many local activists. Here's a start- Welcome to the Ohio Patient Network
And in the meantime, see the links in my sig? Click and start reading "Granny Storm Crow's list"! Then email me to get your own free copy. (tell me if you want WORD or PDF) Once you have the list, start sharing it with friends, family, doctors, politicians and it is just fantastic for shutting up those "there are no scientific studies" prohibitionists!  The list can give you the ability to refute inaccurate "facts" in news articles and comments and back it up with the title of the study. (ie- their unsupported "pot kills brain cells" vs your "Cannabinoids promote embryonic and adult hippocampus neurogenesis") It also can provide a data base for pro-MMJ papers in college. Educating yourself about the many medical uses of cannabis can only make you a better activist! Start your day by going to Cannabis News - marijuana, hemp, and cannabis news FoM, who runs it is a sweetie. She is somewhat conservative, but is on a mission to bring the world all the important news about cannabis. The comments at her site are often far better than the article they are on! It is my first cyber-stop every day! Granny

That was my point. That oHIo has no Med Initiative. Now that "The Right" no longer has the defense that the Fed's will bust up anything that the State does, we have no excuse not to push on our legislators to give us our medicine.

you need to interpret the news more accurately, nothing has really changed ... nothing is in writing to change the existing Laws ... there are still busts occurring as we speak ... political double-talk
