America is not free.

AMERICA IS TO BE FREE! (EVERYONE AGREES EXCEPT TALIBAN, KOREA, A FEW OTHERS, AND THE JOKER,) but how can we be free with millions of laws being shoved down our throat by lady liberty's torch, and uncle sam's finger!

FREEDOM: exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.

WHAT THE F@#$! IS OUR DICTIONARY WRONG?!?! OMG AMERICA IS NOT FREE?!? DID WEBSTER MAKE A MISPRINT?! no he did not there are 17 definitions of freedom and not one constitutes that you can have laws and regulations and still be free.

find out more from my blog!

I'm not saying say murder is ok or what ever but the government is becoming more and more powerful compared to the citizens, which according to washington was never supposed to happen, thats one of the reason we have the 2nd amendment... to keep the government in line when needed(you will never here a politician admit it but it is 100% true! read the whole 2nd amendment and see what they leave out!

You know how to tell if a politician is just another old guy looking for power and money? He will tell you that America is free, and then pass a BS law the next day to make taxes (and his salary) higher (thanks bama! have fun spending half my paycheck on shit we don't need!)

Go live in any of the following; Africa, South America, China, anywhere in the middle east, russia, korea, basically 95% of the countries.

And you will see how fucking nice and easy you have it here in America. What? Just because you gotta be slightly paranoid about the law when you smoke weed? If you don't have any ideas/reason to make a difference, then quit bitching.

I can't stand the government either. The laws nowadays are getting out of hand and seem to only be made to further break humans down into perfect little robots (but it could be so much worse). Chill out. As long as money runs the world, the government and their disgusting ways are here to stay.

You wanna start making a change? Assassinating the corporate CEO's that run this world seems like a good start.

Freedom can only be achieved once more from a CRY of the people the likes even GOD or Pharo has never heard before.

Those that can give up basic liberties and freedom for even temporary relief.
Should not expect FREEDOM nor disserve FREEDOM.

There is a price and I am willing to pay it as my father and his fathers did.

As our forfathers said. (Damn the Rum and fire up the cooper pots and hand me my pipe. We got some smoking to do boys.)

you do

I'm not moving from my country because f#$%ed up politicians are screwing it up, we need to kick them the hell out. We do have more freedom then other countries, but in the span of say 40 years look how many regulations and laws there are imagine 100 years... no one is stopping them, look at the statistics for countries that accumulate tons and tons of laws they turn into dictatorships and sh$t.

I don't know about you but i don't want to just sit back "oh yeah i feel free, so I'm not going to complain," when what is happening now is going to effect my future kids, and the generations to come. Just my opinion guys, sorry if I caused some tension. I love America, and what it was founded on, that's why I care so much.

America does have a lot of laws... but when you boil it all down, I don't have a problem with very many of them. My biggest issue is gun control, but thankfully for me I live in PA which has pretty respectable gun laws. I can carrry a concealed weapon on me here in good ol PA. Laws are put in place for the good of the country and it's citizens. I don't have a problem with really any of the laws here. Someone is probably goign to ask: "how can you say that posting on a website about reefer?" well the answer is, I've been apart of this forum for a long time now, and just because I stopped smoking dope doesn't mean I stopped posting here. So the fact that I don't smoke or even really think about weed at all anymore, the fact that it's illegal doesn't bother me in the least. Sucks for you guys and all my friends/relatives that smoke!

but yeah, America is the greatest country in the world. It's good to see that folks like peble are taking an interest in making sure it stays a great country, just don't say it's not free. A lot of people gave their lives to make sure this country stays the best in the world. I mean come on, it's almost veterans day...don't be saying this country isn't free. That is pretty disrespectful.

Whenever anyone (ALWAYS an American) says the U.S. is the greatest country in the world, I can't help but roll my eyes and think Uncle Sam has taught him well. Mainly because they can never give me a real reason why.

I've travelled a lot in the last couple of years, and the best country I've come across is France. I've been in about twenty U.S. states, and the people in every single one of them were much, much ruder than they are in France, and much more ignorant with culture and politics and so on. The French government also actually fears the people, who riot when a law or something really pisses them off. The Pentagon on the other side is so mighty it's not really a concern if 10,000 protesters show up--they know they'll have their way forever. There's so much more sexual openness in France, no ultra-rigid drinking laws that only raise teen drinking binges, etc. Europe is a cultural gem in general.

So someone enlighten me please....explain the U.S. as the world's #1 country?

France lol.....I had to laugh at this one. Aint no uncultured or untraveled Yank here my friend. Ill never forget going to a football match in the burbs of Paris in 2005.....EVERYTIME a black guy touched the ball the ENTIRE stadium erupted into Monkey sounds......the ENITRE stadium. I have never seen anything like it. Or lets head over to Warsaw Poland where their Govt. refused to let some Jewish football players come their country because some Muslims were offended....Is this the cultural gem your referring to lol? Leave it to .....the video of the cultured parisans mocking minorities is all over youtube if people wanna watch it for themselves.

Riots huh.....the last riots I remember were all the muslims burning trashcans and working peoples cars in Paris because they got their sensitive feelings hurt, awwwwww, so sad.

Belgium is more cultured and accepting than France these days.....Compared to London or Prague....Paris is the armpit of Europe homie. The glory days are gone.....Hell I had a better time in Belgrade than Paris

Cool hm

US is the RICHEST and GREEDIEST country ill say that. greed is the answer to all that you all are speaking on. because yes this country WAS founded with great intentions to be the BEST country in the world. just like a company might begin, with talks of treating the employees with equality and respect, and all with great benefits and rights galore...until that is of course the power and money and respect started to build and those with all those possesions couldnt control the human nature most of us hide. they started to ignore the "good" instilled in most at the time by religion...the fear of god and all. the ones whose pockets and mansions grew ignored their ever growing smaller conscience yelling in their ears. eventually over time...the snowball's grown. and those with power, are still in control. is this a "free" country...well yeah in the ideas of its structure...but nowadays can we really say the "structure" of this country is good. we vote...but is it really us that is heard? when you go to the store and something is free...you dont gotta pay the person behind the counter any $ right?...well then why do i gotta pay so goddamn much to live in this country if its a free country? yeah it's one of my personal motto's to say it could always be worse...cause it could. but dont let that really blind you from whats going on, distract and let you enjoy yer day? sure...but dont be fooled...nothing in this life is free, especially not the american people...we are all controlled, and if you dont see that? well than congrats modern-day uncle sam...yer winning!

Our Military is better equipped and stronger than either Canada or France. Our Military actually fights, unlike France where they would now be speaking German and killing Jews...Canada does fight.

We have a bigger, richer, middle class than either nation and that speaks volumes. Even in a downturn and war.

^ just kidding of course, I love Canada but get tired of hearing some of them bash the US, its almost like an obsession with some of them. In contrast, most people in the US probably couldn't even tell you where Canada was on a map.

Yes, Canada fights, and I'm ashamed of it. If a country's greatness is measured on how much sand you can kick in the other kids' faces, then you win.

The bigger, richer middle-class part is just plain horseshit. I can't speak for France (though I'd assume), but Canada has much less poverty, as I've observed touring the U.S., where basically every major city has some pretty ugly poverty. Non-patriots tend to know that few places in the world is the gap between the tiny wealthy elite and the ever-growing lower-class masses greater than in America.

As for immigrants...a country's reputation doesn't always make it so.

The women part is a matter of opinion, but I personally find the French birds that I saw much easier on the eyes (and less obese in general).

The one point that I'm ASTOUNDED you made, however, was about the food. I've never, ever eaten better than French food, which far outstrips the homogenized swill we have in North America (Canada included).

Look at this, for one...you're defending your country out of patriotic zeal, and I'm advocating a country I was neither born or raised in, nor have any heritage of. One of us might be a little more biased than the other.

And as for your charges of racism...I'd argue in the U.S. it's just as rampant, just more suppressed (except in the south).

And I've never been to Norway, but apparently it's consistently ranked as the world's top country. I'd like to look into that one. The U.N. index has never to my knowledge ranked the U.S. as #1, at least in recent years.

I have nothing against the U.S., I'm just saying there are better countries and people shouldn't be so biased. Oh, but American health care is disgusting, and no one can argue otherwise (except for the wealthy, who can afford the top treatment, the others get left in the dirt, have to pay many times the insurance rates that Canadians do in health taxes, and often get dropped by the companies when they get a major illness. Great).

yeah, I gotta admit the duck I had in Paris was about the tastiest meal I have ever had. Bon Apetite'. the pizza we had in Germany and France was much better than the ones we had in Italy, too. go figure. okay new thread idea, things we love about Europe and we'll just let this thread die out.

lol im not talking about who is stronger guys, I'm talking about being free! In north korea Kim Bong Lee (dictator lol) tells his country they are free and the citizens believe it! They have pulled a blanket over those poor people! if I could put a bullet in his head i would and forget about it with a smile on my face by the time the next blunt comes around; he is a sick and discusting thing (no even considered a human to me because he treats his country like dogs, fenced in and sheltered from the outside world.)
YouTube - Welcome to North Korea by Peter Tetteroo and Raymond Feddema / Documentary Educational Video (sorry if I cant post links, but this is educational)

Also I am a big gun control activist as well! I'm a life member of the NRA! People need to realize the 2nd amendment was put in the constitution to keep the government in line, so they cannot overpower the people! Any politician that wants to take away guns knows this! They want more power and money which can be achieved by un-arming the citizens on AMERICA! All of them know that if they ban guns crime will not cease. think of it this way, drugs are illegal but criminals still get them, if guns were illegal they will still get them! The only people who are getting their guns taken are law-abiding citizens! The government will never take my f#$%ing guns, only from "my cold dead fingers", if they do try to let me tell you this THERE WILL BE ANOTHER CIVIL WAR, and the military will not back the president at that time.

peble, i have a suggestion. start a new thread called the US is free, and continue this line of thought there. its like H4H was saying, a lot of people on here may agree with what you are actually saying but not very many Americans are going to agree with the title of this thread. The point you just made above is a good evidence that we are free, right?

I'm not saying we don't have to fight to stay that way but lets all agree this the US ain't North Korea. We have a rights here given to us by our creator that must be defended, but can be defended.
