saw this in an issue of Hightimes... ordered one will let u all know how it works when it arrives..420 Science - 420 Scope

I had a hard time focusing in with that thing, it was really a hit and miss. I went on ebay and picked up a 30x for like $5 and that works really well.

The focusing ones are more difficult to use for our purposes. But they do work once you get it focused.

the original product, mainly like psteve said those focusing ones like 60x-100x are a bitch to focus with. Then I got the glass one I posted- that thing is awesome! not to mention when I get bored I can burn stuff with the sun coming in the window :P

Aye, they can be a real pain in the ass when you're surrounded by HPS light and fans are blowing all over the place. By the time I start using one of these, I'm getting pretty damn close to harvest, so I'll usually clip a small piece from the bud in question and take it out of the room, then examine it there. Much easier to focus on the right spots this way. Then, as an added bonus, you get to dry and smoke your experiment when you're done!

and good idea with clippin the buds, I did test a few dry buds I had stashed and it was cool to see it soo close, but I ended up taking mine back and kept the 30x

It's very cool! Wait until you pull a piece off a live plant, and you get to see those stalks when they're freshly formed and haven't degraded any. I always feel like a mad scientist when I do this, then a stoned scientist afterwards...

I've got a 50-100x, and I think you've got the right idea sticking with the 30x. Mine is a little too powerful for my needs, but it works for the time being.
