I have constructed a deprivation tank made out of PVC and wood. The plants are growing outside in this tank. Every morning and evening at 7 a piece of black plastic covers the entire structure blacking out all light. This induces flowering.
My question has to do with the fact that there is next to no ventilation within this structure when the plastic is on. The plastic sweats due to the plant transpiration, and it essentially rains inside the thing at "night".
The only way i can think of to avoid this is to take the covering off when it is truly night time outside, and then put it back on before dawn breaks. That is a lot of waking up during the night!! Any ideas on how to vent the thing?

I would wait until the outside temps drop before covering, so choose a time in the evening when you know that it is significantly cooler- such as 830 pm- and leave it on for the next 12 hours. Stick with that schedule. Also, you can help reduce humidity under there by laying plastic over the ground so that moisture in the soil cannot get into the hut.

I don't claim to know the first thing about growing anything; hell, I can't make a Chia pet sprout.

That explains why the tank on soil is sooo much more wet in the mornings then the one on cement. I will adjust according to my new knowledge. Thanks and not to be greedy with your wisdom but can you take a look at my updates on this thread. I could use your expertise...please nutrient def???

Was wondering exactly the same thing. I thought that maybe ventilation holes could be put one on the bottom on the side and one on the top. The holes could be covered with mesh and hooded to avoid light from above. What do you think?
