What nutes should I give them? Start out with flowering nutes?

When should I start nutes?

Anyone with any experience growing this way with decent results, please give me your input!

Ligthing at 12/12 with seedlings will result in thin scraggly plants with a pretty reduced yield. That's why no one does it as a rule.

but other forums have extensive talks about it and this is the only forum where there is no debate, its just 'don't do 12/12'

Atmosphere from ICMAG(was it ICMAG? i forget) stands by 12/12 and only 12/12

others followed suit to grow decent sized plants

Really nice plants, this might just be the perfect solution for people with limited space, please keep us up to date with the progress.

Funny thats all I do is hydro and average 2 ounces plus a plant from seed of course and that is 12/12 from seed. From a clone you're looking at about an OZ maybe.

I use the Ebb and Flow with GH nutes and foloow the nute schedule from seedlings on up thru the bloom phase. I start the bloom phase nutes at 4 weeks and then from there on out check the PPM and keep it at 1200 with about a 25% higher N count from added fish emulsion (10 gallon res =1 cup Fox Farm Big Bloom in addition to GH bloom). No pots either just the 4" x 4" hydro cubes sitting in the bottom of my tray. Leave the plastic on them tho to keep the roots from getting light and voila!

I'd love to follow the grow log for that! If I were doing it I'd wait til the usual time for giving it nutes, probably with half veg and half bloom, and do that for at least a couple weeks before switching to all or 3/4 bloom nutes.
Before flushing it should be fine for all bloom.

Would like to try that method one day, but maybe after I make some feminized seeds.

There's been loads of threads on here about 12/12 from seed. Most experienced growers won't recommend it and atmosphere himself (yeah it is icmag) admits it has it's downfalls and only has a couple of specialised uses that he himself only uses with specially chosen strains. I read through most of the icmag thread and there were some people who had success with the method, giving decent yields of around an Oz however the majority got less than 1 oz per plant (some much less, a few around 5 g) and none of the lengths of grow were substantially less than if you'd vegged for 4 weeks first. It seems the strain is very important and yields are better wiith mostly sativa plants which grow naturally in conditions that are close to 12/12. Don't expect this method to give you as good a yield as you'd get if you'd vegged till maturity, don't expect the bud to be as potent and don't expect it to be smokeable more than a couple of weeks earlier. If you're growing an almost pure sativa in an area with low height then 12/12 from seed might be worth trying, anything else I wouldn't bother. JMO

If you are doing 12/12 from seed then SCrog it (screen of green). I don't know if you guys have ever heard of Spee Sees? He is a huge breeder in the UK and swears by 12/12 from seed with CO2 root injection. Google speecees.

If you can ever get yourself some Aussie seeds by Mullaway those are like gold and he only gives to a select few breeders and I have the honor of having all five of his strains one being and outside only strain but will be doing all of them straight 12/12 from seed. Everyone is different I guess. I a 10 gallon res with a homemade tray that I grow My 6 legal plants (3 in veg and 3 bloom) and the cycle goes on.

Im only working with seeds I acquire through friends/bagseed

I recently got some dutch dragon I will start on sometime at the end of this month or in august, will start a log then.

Sorry guys no pming here.......

I'd love to see a grow log for 2 oz from a plant 12/12 from seed......

But growing hydro myself I average about 5-7 oz per plant......taking a few extra weeks to let the plants veg under 18/6. Seems like a pretty fair trade off to me.

yeah afraid so guys......not sure why but I think it has something to do with MOM talk etc.....they're very strict on that type of thing around here.

Those are nice plants in those cups......I've just seen too many that crash and burn in small stuff like that to risk it myself. I like to hedge my bets so doing things the best way I can is the way I like to do stuff.....so NO teeny pots and 12/12 lighting for me.

That said.....to each his own.

seems like it would be easier to trim since its one stick, and it might be more efficient per sq ft? since you could prob stick a lot in there?

Well I have went ahead and started my very own 12/12 from sprout/seed.

I planted my seeds on 7/5, and been using regular 18/6 light. On 7/8 there were 2 out of 5 sprouts. On 7/9 the other 3 popped up. Today is 7/10 and I am going to wait until tomorrow, about 1 hour before my other 2 girls lights go out, then put the 5 sprouts in with them.

I guess its just trial and error. My other 2 girls went through a regular life cycle thus far.

Good luck to anyone else who tries this method.

Unknown strain, Jus some really good bag seed. I have 3 in plastic party cups. And 2 in shotglasses. I am tryin the 1oz shotglass grow, as well as the 12/12 from seed/sprout. I have grown 1ce before, but I had to chop her before harvest. "Unwanted Company" showed up. I am groing in soil. FoxFarm Ocean Forest for starter. I prolly wont transplant, well at least thats my goal. Just nute after 30 days and whatever happens, happens.
