'grafting', nope, never done it myself ... a home I rented years ago, was owned by an old man (rose competitor) that had a rose bush in the yard ... it was still there after he died ... it had about a dozen different colored roses on it, each major branch was different ... I never knew there were so many colors of roses ... always wanted to try that, but I'm still trying to grow tomatoes (pot is easy)

lol, just did tomatoes for the 1st time this last season and had a good haul, over 150lbs of ripe tomatoes(actual tomatoes: BigBoy Hybrid from seed). You wanna try something hard? Try growin EggPlant, easy to get the plant to grow, fruiting is a bitch, still got 1 goin in the backyard

I 'think' (I'm just using that rose bush, from experience), the characteristics and genetics would match the particular branch the sample came from ... in grafting, you're just 'sticking two different plants together' ... they are being nourished by the same source, but, you're not altering their genetic code, (at least, that's my way of thinking) ... ...
I can't think of a reason to graft cannabis plants together ... I really can't

there was a post a while back from a guy asking if you could graft several strains onto one plant. So you could keep one mother that would give different strains of clones.

dunno if it's possible, or worth the hassle...but i like where his head's at.

skeet.

One must do it on two like species, a san pedro & peyote i've heard of this done too. Is it possible to graft another weed species to cannabis sativa with productive results??

grafting is helpful to patients with plant limits ( many strains as "one" plant )

Just curious, but how do you figure it's helpful?

You would likely have to start this process on a re-veg, with mature branches strong enough (hardwood cutting would likely be necessary) for both the donor plant and the host.

Then there is the stress of this process, which may or may not hermie the entire plant. Also, by the time it recovers from the surgery, (if it does) you could have grown-out two other plants as well.

Harmful...doubtful.
Helpful...doubtful.
Different...definatelly.

well if i had a 6 plant limit id have one mother of 5 strains and a clone of each in flowering, but thats just what i would do, sure there are way better ways (like going to a dispensary, picking up 6 clones, and flowering them)
