the starts must be misted or sprayed with water frequently, but don't water the soil ... don't allow the leaves to dry out ... the plant will concentrate on building the root system if the leaves stay moist ... (I've only clone a couple times, but that is what I read about cloning) ... nurseries, hardware stores, etc.. sell rooting aids, such as Rootone powder or gel, Schultz 'Take Root' powder, etc ... these are rooting growth hormones, quite cheap, and I recommend it ... my clones looked limp and dead for 2 weeks, I almost gave up, but I kept spraying them ... and then suddenly, they stood up and thrived ... surprise ! ...
