Everything sucks, nothing else matters...

I live a pretty clean life, I don't drink or do drugs, (with the only exceptions being cannabis, caffeine and Camel Ultra Lights) I love my wife, and try to live a simple, honest existence...

Two months ago, my minature chihuahua chewed-up (and spit-out) my clones and seedlings in veg. Was pissed, but had enough smoke to cover the gap. (my cat was always my favorite anyways)
Last month, I sorta dropped my seedling tray off the counter while prepping for transplant. All were lost, and was starting to sweat. Was running low on smoke, but thought I might be able to stretch it out, till next crop was done and cured.

Yesterday I walked into my flower room (outdoor shed) and found my heater wasn't on, and room was 42 degrees f. Breaker was tripped, so I removed everything else on that circuit, thinking I had somehow overloaded it. The heater seemed to work the rest of the morning just fine.
Some leaf wilting, but knew I could pull them thru with some TLC.

Well, I found out this morning, my heater has taken a dump as the room was 35 degrees this am. My younger ladies are all draped over the edges of their pots, and the buds on the ladies that were 3 weeks into flowering are all 'hanging' there, pointing twords the ground. Nothing looks cloneable, and I'm sure roots are toast. Sigh...two months at least before next harvest.

I'd say a stiff drink is in order, but I'm allergic to alcohol. (I break out in handcuffs)

Ah damn man, and I thought it bad when I came home to find that my res had drained itself into the neighbor's closet lol

I wish you better luck with your next grow

At least you know what happened to your plants. I bet there are far more people who's plants died and they didn't know why. Once you get a full blown harvest without your heater quitting on you it will be worth it

Maybe hire someone (with no pets) to grow for you?

Hey....aren't you the one who does reef aquariums? Whats the scoop with the cannabis growing?

Aw shit Rusty, I'm sorry to hear that. What a disappointment.
There's your 3 bad luck items for the year though. If you're superstitious, you're done and due for a run of good luck now.
And maybe, just maybe, if they didn't actually freeze, you can salvage some of them... I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.

I don't claim to know the first thing about growing anything; hell, I can't make a Chia pet sprout.

Yep, I do the coral reefing thing. Not sure I understand the second part, tho.
As it's heart-breaking this series of events has happened, the fact is...shit happens.
Yes, I'm more proactive in keeping Bo (the clone-muncher) away from the grow. Yes, I'll remember me dropping the seedling tray every time I transplant from now on, and will hopefully be more careful. But there is no telling when a critical piece of equipment is about to fail. Would have appreciated it failing while I had an ample reserve available, and the money to replace it...but it just didn't turn out that way.

Thanks Stinky.
Ohhh, realistically I'm sure I have more hurdles ahead, just wish they were spaced further apart tho. I've got a few Pokerface adolescents and the couple of deisel clones I took before tossing the mom into the flower room yesterday. Lost the Diesel mom, a couple of Swazi Skunks, and a couple of C-99 x Sweet Tooths. Was really looking forward to the swazi's, too. Oh well, I've got seeds.
Just gotta find something I am in very short supply of....Patience.

Rusty I'm only teasing you.....we've all had issues with our grows. It's just that always think of reef people as being so exact with everything. Sometimes I'm just plain lucky if my plants make it all the way to the finish.

Thanks...I appreciate the commiserations. (sympathies)

To me it isn't so much what I'm dealt in life, as much as it's how I choose to deal with it. (the "Oh Well" philosophy)
Those empty spaces in my flower room won't fill themselves, so am busy, busy, busy.
(Well, busy, busy, busy...in a hurry-up-and-wait sort of way)
I've gotta be careful, tho. This is usually the point where I try and rush them to finish. (he tells himself, reassuringly)

Kinda reminds me of that stupid blue doll some guy tried to pimp on the show American Inventor, that said nothing except..."everything is going to be allllrighhht".
