Considering growing (newbie). Advice appreciated.

Hi,

I'll try keep this as simple as possible. As the title says, I am interested in growing my own stuff. Now I live in Ireland so tbh that's the only real reason I feel the need to do this.. because this country is absolutely bare.. Impossible to find weed here (let alone good quality stuff) so all that I have had access to, when I was smoking quite regularly, is dirty, bad quality soap bar..

So after awhile I just stopped altogether because I knew I was not getting the full experience from that dirty crap, and there was nothing I could do about it..

I have only tried weed ONCE! I definately preferred it (much better high) and I imagine that wasn't even decent quality stuff either..

So that's my background experience with the stuff. As you can see I have not been able to enjoy it to the full I would like to get back into it as I need something to ease me off the drinking a bit!

Right now I need all the advice you guys can give. I am in a very complicated situation for growing and I seem to have very limited options. Currently I am living with my parents (while i'm working) although I will hopefully be moving out once I start college. That's obviously a bad situation. And this crosses out growing in the garden as an option..

Only other option I can think of is to go the guerilla route and attempt to grow one in the local public park.. It's a bit more overgrown than most parks and there is rarely more than two people in it at a time, but it is small. The only places that would be out of the way of the path are slanted. So I really don't know how well a cannabis plant would do on slanted ground..

So help me out if you can. Not very hopeful, but any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It's not so much the sloping ground that you should worry about, it's the fact that there is a chance that people will find it, or worse, that the police will find it and perhaps watch the spot to see who comes to tend the plants.
A place much further from home, perhaps underneath power lines or along a railroad bed, would likely be safer.
I don't know what part of Ireland you're in, but unless you are along the SE coast, where it's a bit drier in summer, I'd definitely look for a grow spot that gets early morning sunshine and is exposed to the breeze, or choose a strain bred to be grown outdoors in a wetter climate such as Vancouver Island.

Well I live in Dublin, so yeah it's not really the best place for isolated country spots. I can think of some areas better than the little park near me but many would be popular places.. No wild untouched areas..

I guess I could travel to better areas.. a lot of effort would be involved in that though..

Thanks for the advice. More suggestions welcome. Looks like I don't have much hope with this then.

You're probably just going to have to wait until you get your own place then. City parks are way too heavily travelled. All it takes is ONE do-gooder to report your plants, and you could be in danger!

Yeah looks like it then.

Hopefully I'll manage to do it eventually.

Thanks again.

Just to report.. I've found a way to purchase the finished product online so I'll be doing it that way for now.. I'll say no more..

Looks like I have access to high quality stuff so I will soon be asking for some advice on the best strains to get (considering I'm probably not used to proper, hard hitting weed).

I'll be seeing ya.

hey guy, if you're talking about buying smokables on-line, i'd be very leery, there's a lot of rip-offs out there
