Thread: hey guys wtf is goin on??

hey guys heres the deal not a lot really but its puzzling me.. i watered my girls last sat so this plant had 3 litres of water i left her a week just now i felt the pot was light as fuck apposed to heavy as fuck when i watered.. so i start to water her.. and b4 ive gave her 1 litre theres lots of runoff?? any ideas why this happened?? i continued to give her 2 full litres im total with still fair bit runnin out... how comes runoff came with only a little water?? my pots are 11litre pots so im confused as to why this happened..

im pissed now ive jus watered my next plant same as other a week of dryin up pots light as hell.. i water and hella runoff b4 the first litre so i stoped at 1 n half litre.. runnoffs pouring out but the pots still feel light.. why are my pots not holdin the water like normal??

i have sum soil plants, when there bone dry there gaps round the edges coz the soil has shrunk. So when u add ur first litre it just runs straight oot, if u give it 5 or 10 mins you'll se it all soaks up, then u can add more water without as much runoff..

well about an hour after watering i toped the plants up a lil bit.. but ye makes sense .. thanks for ur reply

You need a cheap moisture meter.

I have 3 different stages going in 3 1/2 gal pots
and need to know how much water to use and how often
i have been watering about 1 quart with 1/2 nutes and they have been burning could this be not enough water
