I am an American. Some friends and I were planning a trip to Amsterdam, just so we can smoke in peace without worrying about the illegality of it. (We all are yanks from New England.) Anyway, I have heard that Montreal is a very pot-friendly city, along with Vancouver (went to the World's Fair there in '88. Had a blast.)

So, what are the pot laws like, there? Is it different for foreigners? How hard is it to find?

What are the prices like?

Around here, it's 25 to 60 American dollars for 1/8 oz.

i think you can score an 8th of canadian chronic for like 25 canadian up in montreal. don't buy at the cremazie metro station (why in god's name would you even GO to cremazie....yeah). don't tell people you're american or else they might try to hustle.

i heard a story of some kids smoking a bowl on the SCHOOL BUS in toronto and the driver just made them put it out. the police were called and nothing really happened to the kids. so yeah take it from there. it's not like the USA.

Montreal is very pot-friendly. Of course, don't go blowing smoke in a cop's face, but as long as you don't disturb anybody and don't smoke directly in the street (hit up a park, there's plenty of them), you should be good. If you want good herb, hit up The Rock headshop on St.Catherine Street (just besides the Metropolis showroom) and ask for Jazz. Don't ask him straight up and don't tell em' you're a tourist, talk a little bit with him and he will definitely hook you up with very nice weed. If not, try your luck at the Berri-UQAM subway station or any public places with alot of people. The best is to walk on St-Catherine St. though and get inside a headshop, there's litterally dozens of them, and get around to asking somebody who works there and they should hook you up. Hope it helps...worst case scenario, if you ever come to Montreal, lemme know, I could hook you up.

Montreal, Oh Montreal... I live in a town not too far from it (about 20 minutes by car)... Montreal is pretty tolerant with weed, but as S.Templar said, don't go blowing it in a cop's face and don't bug people...

Prices are good too... 1gram for 10$, 1.5 for 10-15$, 2g for 15-20$, 2.5 for 20-25$.... it works usually somewhat like that...
Where I live in particular most of the time I'll buy 3g for 25$...

But yeah in general, Montreal is pretty pot friendly...

Way and hour from Montréal 1hour up to the north or further its price are cheap but its outside weed full oz like 120$ one time i bought 2gram of weed 10$ ... Freezland i think .... it was in a park at St-Donat 1hour30 from Montréal ... Weed is growing in the wood and mountain everywhere!!!!

Hey guys, i need your help. I live in Montreal and i used to have a home delivery service, but it seems to be dead by now. I can't reach my guy anymore.

I know that i can find weed in less than 5 minutes at Metro Berri on St-Denis or Ste-Catherine exit, but i don't want to go there. I did in the past and they tried to sell 0.3 for 10$, taking me for a fool.

Where could i go instead of Berri at this time of the year? It's starting to be cold outside. Any chance on Mont-Royal even if it's not sunday? (maybe near the big statue close to the street?). Any other metro station where i could find something fast for a normal price? (10$/g is the standard i'm used to, or 50-60/7g).

Any tips would be appreciated,
