I am visiting my inlaws in Smithville (near to Niagara Falls) and I am a prescribed medical marijuana patient in California. I have had my id card for years but I don't know what to do when I travel out of the state, let alone the country.

Must I apply from scratch using a Canadian doctor or can I actually make a purchase for sativa [only] with my own California card? I have both the paper recommendation with a seal, and the photo id issued mmj card. Any advice is helpful. I leave Saturday the 1st of August, but I just found this site. Thanks. And, nothing sketchy please. I am purely by the books.
