god damn freezing here in scotland just now,woke up to find around 1ft of snow had fell throughout the night and is still goin strong on and off just now,the roads are god damn death traps,people were passing me sidey ways on main roads!!!

That's a lot for you? Nothing personal of course, but I laugh at your weak snowfall. We get more than that at times, and when it's not snowing, sometimes we get to revel in sub-zero temps(literally, it was -3F this morning).

-3F? Man, you got it good... In Montreal, with the wind chill factor, it regularly reaches -40 C... That's about -40 F also.... When it warms up a bit, we either get ice storms or snow storms. Winter is lovely

Agreed. Plus, my kids haven't had a full week of school in a month, and, frankly, I'm a little tired of it. We never had this many snow delays and cancelations when I was in school. I remember having to get off the bus in a snow storm to help the bus driver put the chains on the tires! Now, if there's a fucking snow flake, they cancel school.
