    Hot enough for ya?

It hit 37*C today, 45*C with humidity... My boss decided that it was time to tidy up around the building so I got to weedeat outside all day. It was absolutely gross, I felt like I was going through Dante's Inferno, minus the ice level. Now it sounds like there's a nasty thunderstorm a-brewin'. How's the weather for everyone else?

Well not today it was sunny for about an hour and then the rest of the day it was just dull, what a crappy summer this has been for the UK.

Hot as blazes here--98 degrees. You saw the big gas-plant explosions from your area today UTD? We just saw it on the news this far up in Collin County. One of my friends' husbands works in that area of town and said it was like a war zone down there. He and his workplace were quickly evacuated.

(For those who live outside the Dallas area, an industrial gas plant caught fire and big canisters of acetylene and other gases began exploding, one after another as the tank yard heated up, at a rate of about one every two seconds. The explosions and fire bombs lasted for many hours. Big local news day. Thank your local firefighters next time you see one.)

I'm ready for a rainstorm, too, where I live. Texas had far more than its share until about three weeks ago. Then the heat turned up and the real summer nastiness started and all the moisture cooked away. A few days of this always make me yearn for mid-October.

People say Scotland is having a crap summer but I love the rain and don't like it getting too hot. It's a little humid but nowhere near as bad as last year.

Atlanta is having a crap summer. It looks great outside until I hop on the motorcycle or go to the pool, then the rain comes. Not drizzle rain, or light rain, but hardcore rain. It comes in an instant. I know it's hot here in GA, but to you folks in Canada, keep your cold fronts to yourselves. All they do for us is make, rain which in GA, becomes humidity. Which drives up the heat index. And makes it miserable down here.

    So uh today's weather:

    High: 87.1 @ 6:19 PM EST
    Low: 65.5 @ 7:08 PM EST (now)
Wind: 0 mph from the N
    Gust: 0 mph
    Today's High Wind: 0 mph (12:00am)
    Humidity: 64%
    Pressure: 29.99 in (Steady)
    Pressure Rate: 0.010 in/hr
    Dew Point: 58.5°
    Wind Chill: 71.2°
    Heat Index (feels like): 73.5°
    Comfort Level: Comfortable
    Temperature Rate: -2.34°/hr

Kind of a mild day today

this is a bitch of a year. 90's one day 60's the next, then the same cycle again. we had a drought then too much rain and cool temps for a while. not really too much rain, but you cant do a thing in the yard.(its either to hot or to wet and soggy or to cold). today is nice 70's with a little breeze. i should be weeding the overgrown garden, but im not, im sitting at the pc. the wild flowers are out in great amounts, queen annes lace, daisies, black eyed susans, sweet peas, joe pye weed, and milk weed.
    aint she pretty?
