recently a friend connected to a grower gave me about an ounce of some weed which wasnt dry yet.
i dried it out, and it just smells like fuckin plant....
i dried it in the dark in a brown paper bag with a fan blowing on it.
does anyone know why it smells like a plant? and how do i make it smell like weed.

one of my dealers freinds grew c-99 that they had a specific strain with no smell but was amazing.

When it is fully dry, put it in a CLEAN glass jar with a very tight fitting lid. Open it for about a half hour, twice a day, for the first few days, then keep it closed in a dark place for a couple more weeks.
This is called 'curing' and it's the way to get the smoothest, most flavorful, smoke out of what you have.

does it have to be glass? or will it just taste better? and i dont think i can find anything thats really that airtight except a metal container.

Stinky's right on. Chlorophyll takes some time to breakdown. Just because its dry doesn't mean that the chlorophyll has given up yet. Chlorophyll goes through a few stages of dying. although I don't recall there exact order, I do know that it takes anywhere from 2-weeks(if you starved your plants the last 2-3weeks) to 1.5 Mo's(if you have feed your plant till harvest).
Unfortunately this is the hardest part. On one hand you must put it out of your mind while curing on the other hand if you forget it you may give way to mold if you forget to burp the jar every few days.
I've lost a small load before because I forgot it.
And I've smoked harsh crap cause I couldn't wait.
I'll tell you from exp. that waiting is the way to go. Why smoke bad tasting good?
Just get some cheap reggie and smoke that till you've got good tasting good.
