One Minute Everything's Fine, The Next...
An hour and a half ago I was playing with my kids in the yard. I live in a farming area, neighbors aren't right next door, but everybody knows everybody. My cool old neighbor Teddy drove by on his moped, we all waved and said hello. Ten seconds later I heard brakes and then silence. Did you ever just know that something was wrong?
My husband came flying up the drive way, "Call the ambulance!"
Teddy got hit by a milk truck, a large tractor trailor that contains milk from farms to processing. Teddy is dead, needless to say. I was the last person to him alive, in the last seconds of his life.
Kiss your wife/husband, tell everyone you love them before you leave your house...because you never know what is coming down the road.

That would freak me out too. I know about not knowing what's coming down the road firsthand. I was in a car accident a few months back and could have been killed. But I was lucky and was able to see my family again. I totally agree with Maryjanemama said about kissing wife or husband and telling everyone you love them.

sev7enCrows, what an ASS thing to say. Sadistic bastard!
maryjanemama, sorry to hear about your friends tragic demise. We can emphasize with you, as my wife's uncle met with a sudden end recently as well. He was a long hall trucker, and dropped of a bunkbed for our kids that he packed along with his load to our place on the way to LA. He forgot to unload the frame and actually had to go down the highway a few miles to turn around and drop it off before heading to LA. We last saw him at midnight, and he never made it to his destination. Heart Attack took an otherwise apparently healthy guy overnight. We were the last of family to see him alive. Weird how fate can play in our lives.
As, for me, I will take your advice when the family wakes. More just in case for them than me if it me who goes, because I am confident that we will be reunited again after death.
2 Timothy 1:12 "For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day." (NAS)
PS maryjanemama, I have half written a reply to your email, just haven't finished yet. Been a hectic week. It's on its way shortly though. Later Friend.

To everyone who finds this situation funny, I'd like to say that I hope nothing horrible or tragic happens in your life, because you will learn that it is not a laughing matter. It turns out it was just a freak accident and no one is to blame, not Teddy, not the trucker. As far as my husband goes, he saw a man's life taken away right before his eyes! He saw Ted's head split open and his brain come OUT OF HIS HEAD! Oh, yeah, that's fucking hysterical.
For everyone else, thanks for responding with support and sympathy, I appreciate it. Thank you.

Maryjanemama...how tragic 4 you and your husband, you have all my sympathy. I too know how short life can be, my husband and 2nd son were taken from me all too soon, within 2 years of eachother(heart probs and SIDS). Fate just has a way of screwing your life up just when you think you've got right, at least 4 me it does. Life is soooo precious...don't waste a minute of it.
To the a**holes that think this is funny,(and I don't think any1 will accept the excuse"I was stoned when I wrote that") you will too find out how crushing it is when some1 close to you suddenly dies, whether it be a friend or family member, and u won't think its funny anymore.

That is so true how we take lifes most precious moments for granted when something like this happens....and makes u embrace & tell ur Family, Friends how much u really love & care because I think we all get caught in the every day rush of being too busy....You have my sympathy & support Maryjanemama

sorry to hear about your neighbor. don't wish death upon anyone, please. one time i wished death upon my aunt because she gave her old train tracks to her grandson. it's like she didn't even know i was alive or that i wanted them. then i thought to myself that she should die. she did die 1 week later.
sorry about teddy but please don't be mean back. two wrongs don't make a right.
btw, i haven't been the same since my aunt died. it happened 10 years ago. i swear i think i killed her in some of my dreams. ;(

Thanks, everyone! It's great to know that so many people care and have been so understanding and sympathetic.
Nowhereman, thanks for banning the sadistic losers.
If anyone here ever has a problem, I'll do my best to help you out, too.
Dope Chic, tried to catch you in chat today but you weren't around and I tried to IM you, but it didn't work. I am so sorry about your losses. You seem very strong and positive, I'd like to chat with you sometime.
Andiloose, we'll have to get together sometime and spark one up since we're so close!
