Listen, i was driving down the road, i have a quarter of premature dro on me, a packed pipe and i was higher than hell. The driver, was not high. We hit a patch of ice, (ohio) swerve, and go straight into this lady's car. Everyones okay, but shes calling the cops. I was so scared. What would you do.. I'll explain what happened after once i get some of your opinions

.I'd make sure everyone is ok..I would step off to the side and hide my weed including the other driver and just wait for the cops and show them my id and explain what I saw..then after the cop leaves I pick up my weed..I might even stop by the hospital for a quick checkup just for the record.

What did you do, or are you still at the scene of the accident looking for advice with a wireless modem?

I guess this happened some hours ago. Like Geo said, hide the weed out of the car and off your person. Reason being that even if you weren't high or doing anything wrong the officer could pat you down for a weapons check under Terry v. US. If a cop has reasonable suspicion that you may be armed he can pat you down for weapons. However, if he pats down and feels a pipe or bag, which are quite obvious to most cops, he can remove it from you and arrest you for it (I think that then falls under plain feel, that from experience he could tell from its feel it was contraband). So if I couldn't make hiding it off in the woods or brush or whatever, I guess I would have taken off my shoes, probably in the car, slid them into each sock under my foot, then put my shoes back on (prayed the pipe was small too) and walked carefully until everything was done. Since I wear boxers and not briefs the underwear under my package wouldn't have been an option. Deep inside the trunk of the car might have been an option if I knew no one was going to get arrested but beware, if the driver did get arrested, they can tow the car and search and inventory it, thus getting around the warrant requirement.

Get a home drug test if you want to know for sure if you can pass a drug test. Drinking lots of water for days and days before the test will not help you get clean quicker. All that water will not make your kidneys work better.

Nice info. That is another best spot..inside the sock on the bottom..sweet spot..that is almost a full search..I never understand how people get pulled over and are caught so unaware..if you have to, train yourself to put your stuff away in a secret spot after smoking. It is just a good idea. mostly in a motor vehicle, cause anything can happen and does everyday.

hmm.. it rocks being a girl. we had that happen once, but we got rear ended and we werent the only ones, so we lucked out.. I had a 20 sack of broke up weed in a sandwich bag rolled it up really tight answer shoved you know where.. I dont think we were ever at risk of beins searched, otherwise i would have hid it in the bushes or ate it..

ok, what i did was right as it happened, i got out of the car, acting like i was stressed about it. the woman wasnt looking so i took the pipe and threw it in a small snow mound, not obvious at all. With the actual sack itself, i took it, he showed me a small spot under the glove compartment where i could hide it, i did just that. When the cop showed, he obviously asked for liscence and registration, he couldnt find his insurance info. the cop started to look around to see if he could locate it, almost touching the exact spot of where it was, i seriously "ABOUT SHIT MYSELF" everything worked out, he got an $85 ticket for failure to control. when it was all taken care of we left, and both decided to take a hit to calm down because we were so shaky. Everything worked out, cop didn't ask my name, address, number, anything. it was lucky as fuckk!

make sure everyone is ok then try to hide the weed, if that wasn't possible just dump it out on the ground and scatter it

see i think thats what i should have done, but i had just got it, no joke 20 minutes ago, i was high, i just wanted to hide it so bad. Now that i think about it, i could have really gotten in a lot of trouble there. Thank you lord

That just goes to show that its *NOT* a good idea to have weed in the car at all....Its not so much what you do, but the unseen, and the stoopid stuff that other folks do too.

I'd have made sure everyone was OK, used my cell phone camera to take pictures of skid marks on the road, if they existed, and of the collision. Hiding the weed away from the car is a good idea that I wouldn't have thought of (because I wouldn't have been carrying any), but if I had, I'd have probably had it already buried deep inside the trunk and wouldn't have been prudent enough to move it. I'd make darn sure I smelled and acted as sober/free of influence as possible and as cool as relaxed as possible. I'd have exchanged insurance, driver's license numbers, license plates and telephone numbers with the other party. I'd have avoided admitting guilt even if I were guilty. Then I'd have waited for the cops to come in the car where it was warmer and hoped for the best.
