Bear with me for a moment, but I have to vent to people that understand me...

So I'm on a team and alot of the people on the team were making fun of me for smoking weed on a daily basis. They are all closed minded ignorant people that are only out to judge. And no matter how many figures, statistics, facts and figures i present to them they continue to claim marijuana is a addictive and bad for your health. (As one of them binge drinks at least 3-4 times a week). They've always poked fun at my smoking and I'd always retaliate but it gets annoying after awhile. Especially with people I wouldn't necessarily call my friends. They are my teammates not quite my friends. And despite the fact I "smoke" in the healthiest way possible by vaping or cooking, I have straight A's in my sophomore year of college, I work two jobs, I volunteer at an animal hospital and am an aspiring hip hop music producer they still talk shit. So I dunno I decided that i was going to take a break and see if all the facts and such I have been spitting out were true. I took a 3 day break (i know not a long time lol but it was the first break I've had since september of 07. And in that time I had exams and shit so I figured what the hell.

After doing so, I feel like i did MUCH worse on my exams because I couldnt have my daily after work/class smoking sessions. I'm usually sober by day and high by night. And being sober at night I've always been an anxious person with alot of anxiety and depression problems and weed has really helped me with all that. I ended up getting depressed and lazy and unmotivated and didnt study to my usual level. I don't know how well I did but I don't think its going to be those A's im used to.

In short, fuck everybody and their judgements. From this point on, if you criticize my smoking habits...fuck you it helps me do what i need to do in life, you dont know me, my life, what ive been through or why im like this nor do i give a fuck to explain it to you. So dont let anyone stop you from being you. No matter what.

Well, I guess this is one of the worst thing about smoking, people that don't know anything about it and get on your back ! At some point to have to let it all go and just let them talk. This is your choice to smoke ! In french we say, vivre et laisser vivre, as you do your things and they do there. Maybe they are not really true friends and you may want to think about a new social circle. The worst in this is if you didn't smoke in front of them or tell them, there is no way they would have figure it out ! Let them talk and if you're bored, just find out what they are addicted too. Coffee, sugar, cig !! Everybody have something they will be addicted to, we have to accept it as we are human beings

Alcohol kills brain cells just like marijuana.

Alcohol causes decrease in testosterone production and results in high estrogen count than normal.

Alcohol makes you gain weight simply by drinking it. The carbs from alcohol do not break down into a sugar that is easily available as a fuel source to your body. Therefore typically it all get's stored as fat (this is much more obvious as you get older).

Alcohol will give you hang overs the next day.

There is no 'healthy' way to ingest alcohol. Unlike cannabis.

Cannabis has been proven for medicinal uses for ages. I forget the exact verse, but Moses used an anointing oil for his followers. The main active ingredient for this topical application was cannabis. However the spelling is very different from how it is spelled today. The only alcohol seemingly condoned in the bible is wine.

I know more stoners who make over 100k/year than sober people. Also most of the stoners I know have higher work ethics than sober people. I think it's because we are overall more content/happy due to smoking cannabis over those who don't.

I'm a high paid CCIE. I run circles around all my friends intellectually and financially. No one ever talks shit to me about my smoking.

Like you I find it really helps me be able to absorb information and concentrate. It alleviates my anxiety that I get and I'm just overall a much more social person. People want to be around me. No one ever even knows I'm high unless I tell them.

So tell your friends or team mates to fuck off. Throughout most of the world cannabis is not viewed in such a bad light. It's only here in America where generation after generation have been brainwashed to believe it's bad and that alcohol is far less destructive to your body.

Personally I'd rather spend a night at a small party/gathering smoking some weed than I would drinking alcohol.

Ignore those guys man. You know what's working for you so stick with it.

Then you have two choices:

1) Find a new team (Hopefully with others who happen to share the habit you have)

or

2) Just quit and find something else to do.
