i Had Another Lucid Dream Last Night =D

Wasn't sure where to put this so thought i would put it here and wait for mods to move if necessary

Firstly for the stoned people who clicked the thread assuming lucid dream was another term for wet dream and are just waiting to laugh at me and whoever else that dont know a lucid dream is when you manage to control your surroundings or actions whilst dreaming, your imagination is the only limit in these sorts of dreams. i love them

Well up until last night id had one fully successful lucid dream that i remembered clearly and about 4 not so successful dreams that are faint memory's.
Last night during my dream i was running and it was one of those dreams where you cant run fast, i wasn't event trying to get away from anyone lol i just wasn't getting to my desired destination, then in the dream i remember thinking hold on that means im dreaming! and having read up on lucid dreaming i decided to make the most of it . Firstly i attempted to fly as this is the most common and straight forward thing to try, i lent forward and began to lift myself of the floor, i then remembered that in my other lucid dream when i began to fly i could not stop myself and i rose to high and ended up waking up, i then fell back to the floor, after about 2 more attempts i realized that i had to stay focused whilst trying to fly or else i just landed again. I managed it! I flew about 20ft in the air and traveled around 150Ft. I then noticed my mum in our house and one of the windows were smashed, so i went over to see how it got smashed (i was starting to forget to control the dream by this point) she went on to tell me and then i totally forgot about keeping the dream lucid and then it just went back to being a normal dream

Amazingly enjoyable, would love to be able to lucid dream at free will! Some people lucid every night!!

ive seen a few threads about lucid dreaming, anyone experienced it?

theres a few websites out there (obviously lol) about lucid dreaming if anyones interested

I can only remember about three times when I had a lucid dream and that was years ago. One happened when I was in middle school. The setting was my middle school and I was running from something not quite sure what. A weird ass looking creature or something lol. Anyways it was when I was cornered in the boys bathroom I all the sudden thought this is a dream! I was then able to make the creature fly across the room and repeatably kicked it's ass lol. I then changed the setting to a very enjoyable one. After what seemed only like minutes I was woken up by my alarm clock to go to school.

If you are interested you should check out "Out of Body Experiences". Basically, you put yourself in a state of extreme relaxation and your body eventually goes to sleep while your mind is awake. I researched a lot before I tried it and when I did, holy crap. One of the best experiences of my life. I remember being on my bed, casually tensing and relaxing the muscles in my body as well as picturing myself sitting up, except not physically. As soon as I felt myself being "shocked" (what many people say the feeling is like) I knew I did and I opened my eyes. What I saw was probably the clearest picture I have ever seen. My vision was zoomed in for some reason but everything was as clear as day.

It only lasted about 20 seconds but it was a life changing experience. If this is something you want to try, research it and see for yourself. All I can say is that lucid dreams are NOTHING compared to Out of Body Experiences.

If I could lucid dream and could control my surroundings and actions whilst dreaming, then most of my lucid dreams would end as wet dreams...

Never had one and probably never will. Most of them, if not all, would end up with me and a bunch of chicks. Better not to dream of that because I know it'll never happen.

You and a bunch of chicks! In your dreams, Pie Man!

But then I guess that's what we're talking about here anyway isn't it...

The night after first reading this post I had a lucid dream.

I was on another planet like mars or something. I was hopping towards a crater filled with lava or something. Then I though "wtf, I must be dreaming" So I just started flying around and got a really weird feeling while taking control of what was going on. I couldn't hold control for very long, but it was definitely an awesome experience.

Before going to bed I relaxed as much as I could. Then the next thing I knew, I was dreaming. I've tried to do this again since, but with no luck. I'll probably give it another shot tonight. Originally I was just trying to get the out of body experience, but ended up with a lucid dream. Not sure if the method helped with the dream or if it was just a coincidence though.

Well... lucid dreaming and OOBEs are very closely related... my capacity to become lucid in the dreams increased several fold when i started to learn OOBE techniques... even cause some of this techniques involve being aware youre falling asleep, or retaining your consciousness during this process, so when you master it, being aware that youre dreaming is like a by-product of it.
In a certain way, an OOBE can be regarded as a special kind of lucid dream, where youre "dreaming" about the reality: the things you see in this "dream" are the real things that exist in the world, instead the usual dream-stuff, of what the normal dreams are made.

The last few times that I was able to have lucid dreams I tried a technique of just looking at my hands in the dream. Just look at them and concentrate on them. I don't know exactly why it works, but so far i'm 2 for 2 when I tried it.

Other than that, my dreams can be pretty vivid, and totally random and wild. I love it!

This technique is a classical one... it is in the book Journey to Ixtlan... in the book, Don Juan Matus, an indian shaman, teaches this technique to Carlos Castaneda (the author), to help him to start "dreaming", which is his name for lucid dreaming/OOBE.
