Thread: Vancouver, BC

I go to Vancouver every year and have yet to check out the local head shops and cafes. I have been looking up a few of them like the new Amsterdam cafe and other things like the BCMP. Most of these seem to be on Hastings. Has anyone ever been to any these places? Any other Vancouver, BC stoner places to check out? Any info on the above would be appreciated.. thanks

Hastings is the most popular place but its changing due to permits so check it out soon.BCMP is next door to amsterdam cafe they have cool lounge upstairs to hang out at.Pot tv is done in back of shop. Bubble man use to have place called melting point on Industrial and I think Dana Larsen has place over that way.Some parts of hastings are alittle creepy but safe. Grandville st has alot of clubs and few smoke shops. It is easy to find all these places. Wreck beach is a blast, baked at UBC native museum very cool.Grouse mtn worthwile cool wood carvings excellent views.People watching at night on Robson is fun. Man I want to go. Have a great trip. Thanks Axxxxe I will have to check out those shops. I go for the folk festival so that's what I will be doing most of the time but I plan on a day trip to tour around the different smoke shops and such. Does anyone know of a place to buy seeds there? I know Dana Larson has the Vancouver Seed Bank but for one, I don't think they sell to Americans for legal issues and two, it's really expensive.

kind seed is located there and i think everyone will sell to anybody. Just make sure you get what you are payin for. Dana is a very cool cat Partyd with him at several tokers bowls. The dude can rip huge tubes. Some folks may be able to direct you at the am cafe.Have fun!

Thanks again. I am starting to piece together a good amount of info. The only reason I thought Dana wouldn't sell to Americans is because I read this interview with him about how he thought he wouldn't get busted as long as he didn't sell to them. I will at least try though and he sounds like a cool guy. This should be a good trip.
