Thread: Keeping marijuana fresh in a plastic bottle?

Hi, I have a plastic vitamin bottle that I'v been using to keep my grass fresh. How long does weed usually last? I got a 30 sack of some cotton candy kush and I wanna save is for a rainy day, should I get a glass jar or stick with the vitamin bottle? I keep it double wrapped in a baggy and put in the bottle.

P.S- Im new to these forums.

The left pic is cotton candy and right in afghan kush I believe.

Glass doesn't leach out chemicals and stuff like plastic does.

Glass also doesnt absorb things like thc,get a small mason jar. you'll be happy you did.

I just went to Wal*Mart and bought a dozen Ball jar for my grow... GLASS!!!

What if I used a glass bottle? Like those Arizona glass drink bottles, they seem airtight enough.

Just make sure odors don't remain...

i use pill bottles a lot when i'm taking my bud places...but if it's at my crib, definitely in a mason jar.

Mason Jar, all your problems solved with a 3$ jar!

Indeed, the mason jar is thee only way to go

If talking smaller ammounts, I use the glass jars from a spice rack. Holds about half an ounce. (cleaned)

I also have a couple of those spice racks (12 jars each) for my seeds. One rack for sativa dominate genetics, one for indica doms...

For long term storage, Mason jars. (quart or half gallon)

Just be careful with the used glass jars. My brother stored his stash in a used Ragu glass jar and it took on the smell of marinara sauce.

Haha! Hey, maybe this could be a new thing....smoke and satisfy your hunger all at once. I wish they had weed that tasted like bacon.

I have a few small glass baby food jars i use to store my amounts for a few days in,if you clean the stuff good enough there will be no smell.Ive been using these particular ones for 4 years now,never imparted any taste into my meds.
