try planting four; that way, you'll have a better chance of having two females. (unless you have feminized seeds) . if it's a space issue, the plants won't be very big once you know their gender. I never weighed my first grow but it allowed me to smoke conservatively for three months or so (smoking 3-4 times a day; bowls the size of a blueberry). anyway, your yield depends mostly on how you raise the plants (lighting, etc.)
Don't smoke cannabis to relieve anger, but rather as a reward for working soberly through anger.

Life is too entertaining for higher powers not to be watching closely.

A rule really only needs to be followed by those who do not know why it is a rule.

Heres a story of bravery, courage, and the will to survive.

I shouldn't have even planted the seed. But I did.

I was young, and stupid.. I had read so much about growing on this site, and had the growing (pun intended) itch to try my luck at growing.

I set up a small growspace in my closet, and thats where I made my mistake.. It was in my parents house, so theres where I crossed the line. Anyway, i planted just one seed i had from my bag. Just one. I had a fan, light, and the in no time, the seedling was sprouting and growing quite well.

For about a month, the plant was in my closet, hidden by a blanket draped over the growing case. it was about a foot tall, and doing perfect... When one day..

I was at work, having a fine day. I had been a little on edge because I knew there was no way I could get away with having that setup in my closet for long, because my Mom periodically will hang up some shirts in there or some other chore.

    1 New Voicemail.

"Ugghh,,,, (it was my brother) Mom found, your plant.. Just so you know. She's not home, but will be in another hour. You should come home and get rid of it..."

Crash and burn my friends. Crash. And. Burn.

I speed home, to find the plant in a bag near the door. My mom is already there. We have a short argument, and she shockingly leaves it up to me to get rid of it... Is she serious!? Why wouldn't she have ground that up by now?!

Anyway, I tell her I'm going to dispose of it, and leave.

I took it out to a forest a short distance away from my street. And just put the pot down in a small clearing, hoping for the best, but not having much home. Through the next few months I'd periodically check up on it, water it. and so forth.

After 3 months of forest life, the sex was beginning to show... And to my greatest excitement. ... You guessed it. A female! I was extatic!
The temperatures were treading on thin ice (pun intended... again.) The night temperatures produced frost on 3 occasions, yet this plant lived through it all.

When the temperatures were consistantly no higher than 45 degrees F., I took it to an abandoned guest house that my friend owned near my house. Where for 2 months it would sit.

The plant was snapped in half when I went to check on it this time. My friend, who I let in on the secret, had tried to prop it up, and the brittle stem simply snapped the budding plant in half. I was crushed. Though for the next 2 months the bottom would continue to grow.

And it continues to grow today. The temperatures are around 40-30 these days, and some small buds are curing in my possession right now. Though there are weak, small buds. Its what I grew, and it gave me quite a story to tell.

    enjoy.
Tell grandma to come and see me, I've got a new song to sing.

It's longer than all the others combined... And it doesn't mean a thing..

Thanks for the advice, i am vegging it in a south facing window and intend to use 2 cool white envirolites (200w each). I know HPS is the best for bloom but i just want to try CFL`s then have a bigger grow under a 400w HPS to cover 1m sq.

Sounds like it really tried you and at least you can soon enjoy the reward. Just think what a controlled grow would yeild like? in that i mean if you had your own place and didnt have to worry about snooping around.

    Nice one dude.

My first grow I did with my grow teacher, and another guy. I bought none of gear, I just provided the seeds, and without the seeds, you got nothing. We spent the first few months growing out a mother plant, snipped some clipping, flowered to them to make sure it was female, no problems there.

We started taking clones and we cut a total of 22 plants. We happened to get 2 tall sativas in the room, and one skunky bastard of a plant. The total harvest for the 25 plants was about 2 Lbs, so just over an ounce per plant. We split it 3 ways, and I got about 10.5 half ounces. Not bad for a first time.

I then started my own grow and since then, I've been growing either 1 big plant, or 2 smaller plants. The first time on my own I did only one plant and it turned out nasty. I overfed, didn't flush good enough, the buds were not that great of quality, but it was good exp., and I got like a 6 gram yeild.

First time i grew was with my cousins and i dont know how many plants we had, probably about 10.

My personal first grow was 5, and i've been growing 5 at a time ever since, with a few exceptions where i grew like 10, and then a few outside at a time.

Right now i've got 800w on 50+ various sized plants of good orgin. Im sure i'll end up thinning out, but if im gonna take the months to grow and pay the electric, i might as well fill the closet to the brim. I even have like 6 plants in one of the pots haha. hopefully i'll have a few 12" flowered colas in there.

Depends on how long you veg the plant for and how long the flowering period takes depending on strain. It's normall 8 - 10 weeks, but sativas can take up to 14 weeks.
