I believe that kids should be able to smoke pot once they are 18 years old, with age comes responsibility. The majority of kids that are 18 are going away to college and starting to live on their own, so why not let them be responsible for their choice of smoking marijuana? At age 18 most children have also stopped Puberty so there is no way that marijuana could alter them in any way.

Personally I think that the age that you start to toak is up to the individual involved, you know your own limits and what not, far better than any governmet does, and even better than your parents. Its your body, part of growing up is trying new things, and making mistakes, it helps you learn. And yes for some people toaking too young is a mistake they make, but they have one bad experience too young and either get scared aways and never try again, or they learn their lesson and wait till they think they are ready. The first time is always easy to bounce back from, and its supposed to be a learning thing anyway, knowing your limits at any age makes you a better person, equiped to deal with other things life throws at you. So yeah, whenever the individual is ready

I don't recommend that for everyone, but It really helped me.
Some people aren't old enough at age 25.
IMO... If you're old enough to choose jalapeno peppers, you're probably old enough to choose weed.

by placing an age limit on any thing you create a black market for it it should be under the responsibility of the parent(s)to keep dangerous items(not saying that cannabis is one of those) out of the hands of there own children. The government has no right to do so.

It is medicine. Anybody unfortunate enough to be born into this horrible world deserves to medicate themselves with herbs as soon as they can hold their head up.

It is very difficult, logically, to say that MJ is beneficial while at the same time denying it to certain people. If I were a parent I would only disallow it so as to pretect my children from the law, but I would explain to them that the laws are oppresive and counterproductive to true spiritual health.

If you think about it it doesnt even matter. How often do you see kids under the age of 21 drinkin? How often do you see kids under the age of 18 smokin? All the time I'm sure. It doesnt matter, if they want it they will find ways to get it.

I am not sure diving while stoned is a good sport to promote to the youngsters...but it could be perfectly safe. I have never tried it, but it sounds irresponsible.

Speaking on the age thing: it is up to "We the Adults" to set a good example through education. I am not sure "Get the fuck out of here until you are old enough," says anything to the kids except that Marijuana is bad, so you can't have it until you are old enough. This makes them believe that it is bad, and kids like to do what they are not allowed to do.

We all know that Marijuana is not only not bad, but is quite beneficial, and even essential to a healthy participation in the world. That is the message we should be sending to the youth. Again, smokers cannot rally to legalization while demonizing our own cause.

Kids would be a lot more mature if their parents were more mature. And to you kids: Your parents would be a lot more open and trusting if you were more open responsible. Believe me, there are actually parents and children out there with good relationships that have discussions around the dinner table and do not simply zone out to the television. They are rare, but out there and this should be our ideal.

i've been smoking for almost 3 months i started at age 12 but i've had my 13th-day since so i'd say 12 or 13 at the earliest anything below that is way 2 young i think like that 1 dude who started ciggarettes at 8 yrs old im like wtf ur lungs r gonna be fucked by the time u graduate but hey its ur life do w/e the fuck u want

21... i think that is a great age, simply because of the bodies development, experience, and laws on alcohol, so in the US it should be 21, only fair i think... plus by then people are more focused in their life, where an intoxicant like weed, causes some lifestyle changes... remember, think masses... i know people i don't want smoking... OMG

i mean hell it won't stop underage smoking... and let's be honest even though i started smoking when i was 11, i have watched it's affect on me, friends, and now that i'm older, friend's kids, ect... and while everyone is different i think it shouldn't be encouraged to children, which is what under 21 is... i mean its all shades of grey...

Hmm, I chose 16. I'm a bit older than that (turned 18 in January) but that's the age when I started smoking heavily (although junior year I slowed down alot).
