The yellowy tinge is just the trichomes, it's not moldy at all. God, that would have been a complete waste if you'd thrown it away.

You'll know when a buds moldy, you cant miss it, and if it is, dont smoke it.

BUt the stuff you got now looks fine.

Yea, and you can also test if its moldy by smoking it.. Im assuming..that the mold would taste somewhat harsher than the other sects of the bud

That's terrible advice - smoking mold is very bad. You should never smoke or eat it. Ever.

MOLD CAN FUCK YOU UP. And not in a good way. I'm talking like chronic respiratory infections. If you think it has mold, if it smells bad or has greyish bits, DON'T SMOKE IT.

PLEASE give us some ADVICE on how to be CERTAIN if its mold or not other than it being black or any other disgusting color

If you cant tell what mold is your an idiot. Simple as that. If your stupid enough to smoke it, go ahead. When you need to have part of your lungs removed, you'll wonder why you didnt listen to people who know what they're talking about. Mold is OBVIOUS.

U cant possibly believe that one toke of mold would make your lungs suddenly turn black and u die instantly. hell no

since no one here is certain what this is on his weed (which i doubt is anything) u should do trial and error, take a small hit or two and if it tastes nasty or sumthin u know what it is and u know what to look for the next time u see this shit on ure weed..he obviously has never seen this before or he has never had such wonderful dank..o well just my 2cents

Though I agree with LIP's sentiment in the above response, I will give you a somewhat (only somewhat, as I have never had first hand experience with it) more informative answer.

Trichromes, which are what are in that picture, are little resin glands on the bud, and produce little white hairy/crystally things. They are not intertwined or webby looking, because they are short and stubby and not stringy at all.

Mold, on the other hand, looks somewhat like spider-webs. The little hairs would intertwine and kind of make a net over the bud, more messy looking then trichromes.

Zoom in on pictures if you can't tell, and you'll be able to see if they are trichs, aka resin glands coming from the bud, or mold, aka a net on top of the bud.

Examples of both:

Moldy: http://aycu18.webshots.com/image/745...4404836_rs.jpg Look mainly at the two ends of the bud, obvious molding by the stem and at the tip of the bud.

And yes, mold can seriously hurt you. It is a fungus and should not be in your lungs at all, it introduces serious risk for bacterial and other types of infections. NOT a good idea.

If you want to smoke mold and end up in hospital with god knows what wrong with you, by all means do it. Maybe you'd learn not to be so stupid.

And if you cant tell the differnce between trichomes and mold, you shouldnt have started smoking.

ssry I'm new to the whole mold thing. How would mold end up on the bud. Would it be because it was exposed to dry air too long and not sealed tight?
