Jar Seed Grow..CFL
Hi all..Well I rekkon I will begin with my set-up and items used.
The seeds are from some Great Looking buds but it had seeds. Good for me I guess. Shelf is 30'' tall 31'' deep 2' across, and can be converted to 5 or 7 foot tall if needed. Lighting...As of right now 4 27w CFL's and 2 2' flouros. On 18/6. Emergency Blanket/Mylar on ceiling/walls Medium...Everyday potting mix from Ace Hardware. Switching to Fox Farms when transplanting is needed. Soaked seed 24 hrs. in shot glass then moved to Jiffy "pellets" and Strips...Total of 65 seeds planted..The seeds seemed to like the peat pellet method alot better and also the strips dryed very quickly. I planted that many seeds to pick the best looking ones and move on from there. No ventilation or door as of now and i have a box fan blowing around. This is my second attempt at this, end result of last time looked amazing..about 1 1/4 zip dry but i grew it under 6500k cfls the whole time so it was a very light head buzz. So this time around i intend on switching the bulbs for flowering like i should've done the first time. I will try with some pics of last harvest and this grows seeds starting. So plants are about 3 weeks almost 4 and doing great about 35 sprouted and i kept the best looking 20...But its down to 12 now. Soon i will top then transplant then begin LST. Heres a couple more pics most recent ones so far...Im trying to get down resizing them a little bit better..Here my babies...look indica dom...although 2 look different from the rest...the first 2 sets of fingered leaves on the 2 diff. plants have 5 fingers then the next have seven as all other plants started with 3 and then went to the 5 fingered..possibly sativa mix? It is now day 28 and i Topped most plants a day or so ago..didn't seem to stop growth but for about a day. Im not using nutes until flowering. I give them a week then transplant into atleast 1 gallon pots. Then I'm going to try my hand at LST. Also if I need to I will convert shelving into 2 seperate"rooms" to ensure room for most fems for flowering. Updated pics 1 week since last photo update.

Day 33...i still have plants in party cups going to transplant on payday...LSt'd half of my plants..they seemed to love it here a couple pics...5 days since last photo update.

As of right now, no I am not. I have 12 plants and once they get transplanted into bigger pots..which by the way should've been done waaaay before now, I won't have enough room. Plants are looking like they've slowed in growth, I was thinking it was from being in such a small container. But I can only barely see a couple small roots from the bottom, still inside the cup not coming out the holes in the bottom. So I will wait for preflower then keep the nicest lookers as moms and 12/12 the rest of the girls seperately in the other "shelve".

Okay...I'm back now and better than ever..haha
Transplanted 50/50 Pearlite / MG MC...8 inch pots. Day is 45. 9 plants remaining. 8 indica Bagseed..1 sativa dom "feminized".. looking good, i really like your light setup.
it might be the lighting color but a couple of the plants look like they need some calmag. do you notice any discoloration in the leaves?

Actually, there was some discoloration...but that was 8 days ago..hard to stay up on everything, start a new job and still manage to find time to update.
Well um I've had to re-tie down my plants so many times. Most tops are all about the same height. I wasn't intending on doing a SOG but that is what is starting to look like. I've been thinking of trimming off a lot more leaves than i've ever done before. Because with this setup it is hard to get the light to penetrate down to the lowers. I've switched to 12/12 to see how many are fem. I am running out of space. Orignally intended on complete CFL but i think I will get atleast a 400 watter beast. I was given 6 400 wt mh bulbs for free..but i don't know if i wanted to use a mh..i was thinking HPS. I would like to hear what someone thinks i should do what the cabinet size seen above...and the cab can go floor to the ceiling if needed. And around $200 to 3 max. Photo update coming soon..Buying new camera tomorrow, some fu*ker  decided they needed it more than me. Peace

Well i typed the biggest reply ever then when i went to update my computer crashed..
I am now in week2 day 1 of flowering. 6 females the rest had to go. My fave has 8 tops. <--Thats alot..haha. All plants have been LST'ed and topped once. Thanks man.. when i switched to 12/12 i changed from the 27 watt cfl x 4 to 45 watt x 4. With a raise in lumens by over 5thousand. I've read on here it needs to be an increase of four times the amount of "light" I hope it was enough.
ALso i tried to take pictures of the preflowers and "zoom" in for you guys but my new camera is a cell phone and its not "top o the line'' so yeah sorry .. Peace Out

Well its been a minute since an update..
The plant that i did not top its pistils turned PINK immediately after they started to appear, and the tops on it are a really nice looking dark pink. One other is also but not nearly as bright of a pink. Nice trich count on all 6 ladies even on the bottom of the plants. I will try to update again in a couple days with some fotos. They look great, you would almost think i know what i'm doing. Peace

some dying leaves on one plant..the one furthest from the fan..they all get the same amounts of everything else so that has to be the reason, i think.
