Well considoring I have today off I decided to go and transplant it into something bigger
judging by the root system on the plant when I cut away the old pot it was time to transplant anyway

if not, you either need to drill some holes or re-transplant into something with drainage, every time you water you should water until about 20% runs out the bottom of the pot.
anyway, good to see you added a second story, good luck man.

I drillled 5 or 6 holes in the new pot/container and made sure that water could get out easily however i might add a few more just for insurance
@ the moment i have 4 pavers "bricks" on top of each other to get the plant up to the height it needs to be to get close enough to the lights
Under the container/pot i have a drip tray to catch any water run off

do you have a cover?...
if that container that you turned into a pot had a lid, you can use that as a drip tray, you might have to glue some feet on the bottom of the 'pot'.

Update pic
Im sure its a female as i can see some white hairs on the plant and fortunatly no Balls
its just that its a real pain in the ass to try and photograph them
Im considoring topping the 3 tallest nodes in order to give the others some time to catch up to the same height as well as giving me more nodes

Some updated pics
I topped the 5 tallest nodes 3 days ago and can see some new growth shoots coming up as well as @ least 2 new branches starting to grow on the 5 tallest nodes 1 set of leaves below the top
I will let this new growth continue untill each one has grown a set of new leaves and will then turn on the 12/12 light cycle
I expect to be doing this within the next 1 to 2 weeks
still havent seen any real evidence of pre flowers yet I believe i can see some white hairs on it but they look more green than white so this could just be more veg growth i guess in the next 2 to 3 weeks im going to know for sure what I have here

Also one of the nodes "smaller one that sprung from the main stem" is producing 3 fan leaves compared to the regular 2, none of the other nodes are like this
I did a quick search and it seems like some gene thing however the pics i'v found on the net seem to show that every node on the plant is like this. On mine however its only one where every other 10 or so nodes are fine

Update time
I havent had any internet for the last couple of weeks so its been a bit hard to post updates
Plant is coming along well and I have decided to go to the 12 hour light cycle today because if it veges any longer its going to get way to big for the box
pics as follows show overall shot of the plant + some pre flowers + my tri leaf mutant stem that popped out
I have for the moment swapped 3 of my 6500k cfl's for 3 2700k cfls
in the pic of the lights the 6500k ones are the thiner but longer looking spirals i have spaced them out this way to give more even light
I was thinking of going all my 6 lights to the 2700k cfls in a week or so or should i just put them all in now?
The 2700k lights are going to be better for flowering right? than the veg 6500k ones?

Looking good man. My 2 cents though, when transplanting I always make sure the new pot is deeper to allow new soil under roots and make sure to fill the container to the top with soil. I was thinking it looked like top of your roots are above the soil.
Plant is looking amazing though...checkout my cfl grow i got going.
Good job, keep it up.

Cheers for the responce, I am very limited with the height I have available due to the size of my box setup which is why the pot "container" I have used is shallow but @ the same time long and wide to compensate... I'll throw on some more potting mix in the next day or 2. iv been reluctent to add any more because there are these little flying bug things that live in the potting mix i have which fortunatly dont seem to eat the plant but i ready didint want to add any more or use pestercide. they usualy just fly into the small water container i have in there and drown although they never seem to die out
had a quick skim over ur setup looks wicked makes me wish i had more room but for my 1st grow im happy the way things are turning out

Im going to have to get another box and put it on top or something....
