Help with Cabinet Setup Please

Okay so ive been planning a cabinet grow, just waitingon the seeds to arrive before i start. As ive been setting up my cabinet ive run into some problems. I nailed the drawers shut and was hoping to have my access to the enclosed space through an adjacent wall in the cabinet, my problem comes when I tried to take a handheld miter saw to it and the damned thing is so tough it starts smoking the whole house up. Needless to say i couldnt get it down even with some swings of a sledge hammer. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are using the wrong tools for the job. A picture of your cabinet would help, but why not buy/borrow a hand saw? I'm pretty sure that beating the shit out of your future growcab is counter-productive. (and it is likely to cause more stress when/if you fuck it up)

Altho I would never do this myself, (but then again, I have the tools to do it right) you could drill a series of holes along the line you wish to cut, then use the sledge hammer or saw to complete the job. (kinda like connect the dots)

What are your plans for providing ventilation?

LOL, you're the master of understatement Rusty, lol.

what about the back of the dresser? why not make your access at the back?
usually, the back is just tacked on so should be easy to remove

Thanks for the replies. I started to connect the dots and ill see how that goes. Im going to put velcro on the outline on the part of the wall that comes out and cut a piece of wood to fit it for easy access for waterings, etc. Ill have a hole cut in that piece of wood(watever it is i find to use) and a vent on that. For the intake i have some holes drilled, and im gonna wire a comp fan for the intake and I already have a fan for exhaust.
Since my space is limited can i have that fan on the other side of the vent? Sucking the air from inside the cabinet. My beans are still on the way so ill have some pics of the completed project in a week or so, that way i can get the proper expertise to make sure everything goes smoothly.
