Hey nothing wrong with a DIY personal grow, they are the best kind IMO! I have never heard of the strain but it sounds real nice. Just did a search on Google and brought up a bunch of results and information for the strain. Make sure and vent your closet with an extraction fan, not just leaving the door open.

See, when I searched google, I couldn't find much.. I've never personally smoked this strain.
In terms of venting, I ahve a typical desk fan that's in the closet blowing the air around, and there's quite a bit of gappage between the doors (folding closet style). I'd post pics tonight, but having a broken hand makes it difficult haha.. Tomorrow for sure I'll post pics of the setup and such. Like I said, its my first grow, so any kind of "closet growing" tips would be great.

Alright, so I snapped some pics of my little closet grow-op.
Three plants of Cherry Bomb Indica. They were clones given to me that were about 3-4" tall in styrofoam cups. I have since then, transplanted them to 8" pots, where they have been growing like crazy. They are growing under a 400w lamp, I have no idea what make/model it is, I just know when I open the door, it's like see the glow of a thousand suns. You can see the ballast and all that stuff too (the light/ballast was built by a friend of mine who didn't need it anymore). I'm just kind of worried about these plants, because I've had them since mid-September, and they've grown a lot, but haven't even started to pre-flower yet. I mean, they're definitely healthy and growing, I see new leaves every day. Maybe I'm just impatient? I donno.. Either way.. This is my first grow, and I'm still constantly learning about techniques, dos/dont's, etc. The closet is also lined with mylar, and has a deskfan for air circulation/venting. They are on a 12/12 lighting schedual right now from a 20/4. When the lights go out tonight, I'll bust out my digital SLR and snap some better quality pics. Anyways, here are "The Ladies" as I like to call them. ![]() http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/DSCN0763.jpg - http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/DSCN0764.jpg - http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/DSCN0764.jpg - http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/DSCN0766.jpg - http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/DSCN0767.jpg - http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/DSCN0768.jpg - http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...p/DSCN0770.jpg Last edited by punkr0x0r; Nov-05-2009 at 13:15. |

IMHO I hated the cherry bomb....It had a kinda cinnamon taste, but more spicy. Wasn't to my liking, but hey, if you got a strain you know then that's
I'll pop in now and again to see how things are coming along!

I've honestly never smoked Cherry Bomb myself, I've always been more of a sativa guy.
And like I said, these clones were given to me by a friend as a house warming gift, so I didn't really have much say in what strain I wanted haha. That said, he claims that it's a very nice strain and the smoke is great. I won't be able to judge that until they are harvested. Any more grow tips/advice are always welcome too ![]() One thing I was thinking about was making kind of like a triangular prism-shaped cover for the liight, and rig it so it sits horizontally, and line the inside with mylar for more reflection. It seems like the light is going out to the sides and not down on the plants as good as it could be. |

it may be just me, but I always keep all my electrical stuff up above my plants, mostly because of the possibility of water getting to them. I would also say if/when you transplant, don't leave so much room at the rim of the plant, fill that bish up to 1/2" to the side of the pot.
everything else looks good, planning on lst or topping? I would highly recommend LSTing them, entertaining to see them react to the string, and provides more surface area for direct light. |
