Thread: What cfl's to buy in cabinet grow?

Measurements for cabinet are:

Length 52 cm = 1.7 feet (20.4 inches)
Width 52 cm = 1.7 feet (20.4 inches)
Height 80 cm = 2.6 feet (31.2 inches)

I only have Home Depot available where I live. I can't seem to get smaller bulbs than these beasts:

42 watt - (lumens 2,800) - 18 cm long (7.08 inches) - 232 pesos (18.75 dlls)
65 watt - (lumens 3,300) - 25 cm long (9.84 inches) - 205 pesos (16.57 dlls)
85 watt - (lumens 4,080) - 30 cm long (11.8 inches) - 405 pesos (32 dlls)(smartlight)

They're very big but these are my options. I'm thinking of getting about 3 - 65 watt bulbs (6700k) in order to get 9,900 lumens in vegetation and possibly 4 - 65 watt bulbs (2700k) in order to get 13,200 lumens for flowering.

Does this seem about right? What would you do with these options?

p.s. I'm gonna have some chains put up so I can adjust the lights' height. Probably try LST'ing the suckers too.

the more lumens the better, PERIOD....as long as you can keep the heat in check. CFLS do get hot!

agreed, i have 2 42w cfls for vegging on and they get very hot
