Thread: my grow and a question

now i dont have my growing supplies yet but i worry about heat problems arising im gettimg a 454 watt t5 4 foot by 2 ft putting out 34500 lumens oh and it has 8 bulbs. now my closet is shaped kinda funny it has a slanted roof its 50 inches deep by 36 inches wide the front of it is 6 ft tall were as the back is only 36 inches. i thought if just putting a vent through the side of the wall into the next room but im open for ideas. im using smaller buckets for my DWC bubler buckets there just 3 gallons trying to keep the plants a lil smaller as i have limited space for them to grow. ill be using humboldt nuts and thats about it for my grow anyway any suggestions are welcome.

ok guys well obviously no one has input o got everything now its been going for 3 days now. but a question as well this time the bottom of my cutings are turning kinda black around the edges of the cut is this normal as this is the first time i have ventured into hydroponics i dont know if this is good or bad

If they're fresh cuts(un-rooted), you may want to make a new reservoir for your buggy. Rot, unfortunately is normal for many, but not good. If they're rooted and your root mass is turning black or brackish you'll want to get an enzyme product. I suggest Hygro Zyme. Sensi-Zym or others will work too. That will eat away the dead matter on your roots. for the room, just use common sense and try not to complicate things by over thinking it. You'll want to grow short stout strains. Or veg very briefly, and prune and train your girls. Either way, you want to have a very shallow canopy because you have no photo intensity with florescent lighting. think of forming a nice carpet of flowers not much more than 6 inches deep... If your room feels too hot it probably is, get air into it, and out in the easiest manor that you see as an option. Cutting holes in the door may be better for you if your not good at doing repair work. (easier to buy a new door). Keeping doors open and having a fan blow through your undercarriage that then circulates the hot air out of the top of the closet may work as well. Your operation has a 1000 variables only you know. Try your best and improve.

well just ordered some prozyme its also a humoldt product as well as ginormus and honey hydro carbs both humboldt products as well

well guess i should tell what im growing. right now i have 2 gods bud starts in my hydro and a purple kush and then i have my soil gods bud too unfortunatly i dont think that the purple will make it as well as one of my gods buds there lookin shabby at best all spotted up and droopy they still havent established a root system theres nubs of roots but no shooters so far this is goin on week two here in a few days so i guess there not doin to bad considering i didnt add any root hormone well see how the others are doin here in a few days goin on a trip to cali so they will be under the supervision of another person that i kinda trust to get things done such as doing the PH on my hydro ill be furious if there dead when i get back

well i came back from cali and the hydros died the guy didnt PH them and they died ph was just cruzing around however it wanted for a week.

cut new starts used root tone this time and as far as i can tell there much healthier than the last batch at 30 hours in. the breeds remain the same as the last 2 gods bud and one purple kush still not an advanced user yet so still no pics available right now.

on to other business my soil gods bud is doing real well its in its fourth week of budding now there nice big buds already now well as nice as buds can be for four weeks about half inch wide i feed her only the humboldt ginormus bloom bosster seems to work pretty well and i may start to use some super bloom. pics as soon as i can

In other news ordered some more nutrients yesterday got some sea cal and sea mag as well as some crystal busrt supposed to be a real good ones it says most powerful but well see. now what are your takes as fellow hydro grower. is mycorrizon ( i think thats how you spell it) in your opinion is it as beneficial as it says and can you not use it and be fine

got some seeds starting to sprout here getting excited to see what they will be if there ant good or not

well bit of an update here im gonna post some pics later but i got some starts going finally and i have two seeds that have sprouted into small seedlings 2 of eight at the moment and two more are about too there pushing there way up through my medium

seedlings died ill have to just go get starts from a buddy get some kill bill and some mango my gods bud is done and drying ill post weight after its dried my three hydros are doing well they were moved from the start container to the 3 gallon buckets Wednesday they seem to be doing just fine

well some ba news is the hydro girls all hermied so there all gone but i now have a few new kinds jolly OG, Kill Bill, mango, great white, Chernobyl,and lemon diesel so hopefully out of those i will get a good harvest all from seed so they should all have a great harvest
