No One Likes My plants. Or my Bad Clones. Is it ok to try and do Clones In a tuperware container? Or is a black try the best. I had to use the tray for the top of the cab. To make sure no water leaked out.
I thought the plants seemed ok/... Anyone? Im lonely,,, and scared...... kd |

That's not true. I like your plants. Those first 1 1/2 week-old pictures were just impressive. I'm doing that CFL thing too but mine only just started the 3rd set of leaves. Like half the size of yours. I think partly (or mostly) because I had to use some outdoor seeds I ordered but took over 3 mos. to get. I even had already ordered others but the first ones showed up (got the second order in the mail today actually) but planted those outside ones in my cab. anyway cause that's all I had. Now I'm kind of glad because cabs. are much more secure. Anyway, cloning is a real art, and not easy. I plan to try too. But I know if success happens first tme around, luck is involved.

thanks for all your advice, i looked at that thread on making the light and i admit it don't look THAT hard...ill try it someday but for now i think i will actually go with using a powerstrip/bar and plugging them directlyi nto it. i didn't know you could even buy sockets that plug into the wall casue i see no one on grow forums doing that (which i realize means its prob not ideal). i'm going to try it though so i appreciate the info, i'm sure i can rig the shit up so it wont fall. OR maybe I could use a bathroom light fixure if i can find one that plugs right into the wall, how would that work? OK about your plants- i was very impressed by your grow. i know nothing about neem oil, but i have read that you should LST during veg around the 5th node. youre clones do look very sad but take heart i hear it is a very difficult thing to do and takes much practice b4 one can get it right. happy growing |

Size Does Matter,.,,
Check out the difference between pplant size with the pot size, these twpo plants are the same age started at the same time from seed. Last week I planted one in a 2G Grow Bag and left the other in the 6inch pot. I interested in seeing the bud difference. Also Pictures of the Topped plant... I had to pull the bigger plant down to match the height of the topped plant. kd_special Last edited by kdspecial; Sep-18-2006 at 00:52. |

You can use the neem oil about every 5 days yeah, but you don't want to do it forever. Caterpillers are tough, though, and you might need something stronger like anise, thyme or clove. Extracts of anise and clove both give a pretty quick kill, but like most essential oils, have very short residual periods. With the neem oil though, just be careful not to overapply because it can have long term effects on the plant.

Cool Thanks Man, I haven't used the neem oil for a good 2 weeks now as well i haven't seen the bugs. I was thinking of spraying once soon as a just incase spray. Before they get any buds on em as i just change dthe light. What kind of long term affects can neem oil have?
thanks for all your help Thunder kdspecial |

Well, I haven't used it on MJ before, but I have seen problems develop with soil pH (and eventually nute lockout) over long periods of regular application in landscaped gardens. But if you're making irregular applications (like less than once every two weeks), you won't build up enough in the soil, quick enough to make a difference.
Just read the directions, don't over-apply and you'll be just fine. Lookin' good, btw.

Yeah the neem oil seemed to work, plus I ditched a few plants that were suspect male. So less plants to worrie about and less plants for the bugs to live on.
im pumped to see what kind of bud these plants will give. I am thinking of adding a bit more light as well I am just trying to find the best way to plus the bulbs in so the don't take up lots of room in the already small box. thanks for the Tips and comments. kd_special |

Yeah so far the setup was alkot of work but now that its all done and temps are good etc. I can just use the cab. the cloning is still a art i have to master but. Goibng fromm seed aint that bad cuz I can really only fit 3 in there anyways so 5 seeds each time. Seed sare 60 CAD for 10 at the store near by. It almost seems easier than cloning. plus ill have different strains all the time.
Thanks for the comments.,. Im getting excited soon Ill be able to see what 10,000 lummes will give me for a total 2.2 sqaure foot space the cab size is very small I wish i could fit more light into there too , Im trying to figure out how I will, The side lighting i cool but the plants keep growing to it. so far and i have to tie thenm back kd Last edited by kdspecial; Sep-22-2006 at 10:44. |

Cool yeah I plan to buy some Mylar or blanket after this grow, The plants are growing pretty fast right now, So I don't totally think I even need Mylar unl;ess it will significantly help my buding stage. It took a long time to set this box up right. now that I have it right I don't wanna mess anymore with it. Atleast not untill its empty and IO can properly work in there. The duct tape for putting up the plastic worked pretty good but when I switch to mylar im gonna use a glue of some sort, Cuz tape wares out eventully.
thanks for the tips guys... kd_Special |

Well I woke up this morrning to a sad sight. My One big plant has turned Male on Me. And my other topped Plant seems tobe going that way as well. Im kinda discouraged. I need more seeds to start again. I still have one female but I left her in a smaller pot to see what pot size differences made in yeild. That was a bad one, I cut the bottom of her pot and placed her ina bigger one. I moved the one male out and left the other suspect male in. I am thinking about leaving them both in the cab to try and get some seeds sO i dont have to buy any more. Not sure how this will work out though. Its just a though. Since I only have one female I would rather have a buch of seeds instead of a bit of Bud
What do you guys think? Im sure sexing is a hard thing to do But I am gonna read some more on it then decide what to do. Bottom line. 1st grow Nute Burn Killed all of em this gorw learned alot but got males. 3rd times a charm...hahahah im gonna go grab some more seeds again today and try try again... hmm I can't wait untill I have a house with some space to do a regular grow not a tiny Cabinet grow... ahh well. thats rnough out of me for today... kd_special |
