Here in new York the popular strains are:
Piff, Sour, Haze, White widdow, Kush, Purple haze, and Dro.
anything else is juss called green and sold for a much lower price
does anyone kno why nobody names these other strains?

I kno for a fact that not all of this "green" is the same thing
they all have different smells, tastes, and highs

any help?

Hmm...well, for one, where I'm from "Dro" just means that the product was grown hydroponically...it's not a "strain".

And two, you said those were all the popular strains, maybe you should be asking for the unpopular strains and uncover some hidden wonders

To claim NY doesnt have any other named varieties is wack. They're many growers in that area and all around USA who know the names of the genetics they work with, most others just make shit up. The whole "dro" pandemic had 2 be have been started by uneducated highschoolers.

if its not the strains i mentioned NOBODY calls it anything other than green
that goes for sellers and smokers
its quite frustrating being that i sell sometimes and when ppl say what is it
all i can say is green because nobody has a name 4 it

cuz NY is mad far from a major supply capitol of green. now to think there aint a bunch of good shit would be stupid, but it ain't as easy so far away from the crops to find good shit.

At the recent NORML conference at a legal seminar regarding medical cannabis it was reported that NYC police arrest more people for MJ than anywhere on the face of the planet despite the fact it has been decriminalized for over 30 years. Why is that? Can anyone from the city tell us how the police get away with it? It was reported a lot of the arrests came from illegal searches of people walking down the street and it was overwhelmingly people of color arrested, can you comment on that?

In regards to the original post, considering the market isn't mature like in CA it is probably guerrilla bagseed grows or smuggling from south of the border. That can be good stuff so I would happily pay less for something generic if it worked as well as top shelf medical cannabis.I grew up in Northwestern PA and we rarely got anything from CA, it was mostly dirty mex and if really lucky Hawaiian and Thai Sticks.
