wow i loved his stand up even though i've only seen a limited amount of what is available. he said everything in such a right way that it made you think while still being funny. may he rest in peace.

Thats harsh he was an awesome comic, and his stand-up often had some serious messages embedded it. Funny as hell and also quite piognant (sp?)

wow... i don't really care when celebs dies (actually, I kinda like it) but I'll make an exception this time...

its a shame

. This really bums me out. George Carlin was the best comedian ever in my opinion. I have laughed so much listening to him. And just last week it was announced he would be the recipient of the 2008 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

I'll miss him. He was very funny, and he had a way of exposing a lot of absurd bullshit that goes on in our world. He kept you entertained, but he also made you think. He put his own ass on the line for free speech. He also had a really good understanding of language.
