B-12/Niacin
So my test is a week away, since I run or exercise most days anyways, I went to GNC and took a look at some B-12/Niacin supplements. Spoke with a rep there, said B-12 is good for ridding your cell counts of lipids (where I believe THC is housed) and Niacin is good for increasing metabolism. I'm thinking that taking a couple of each before working out could be a good combination (in addition to drinking cranberry juice/water and not smoking!)
I've smoked once in about 10 days and still have a week to go, anyone have any opinions of how I should fare. Using a masking agent has worked for me before, without giving myself nearly as much time. But anyone that has some experience/success with B-12/Niacin, please let me know what you think! And FYI, my test is for urine, post-acceptance of a job offer, done by Quest Diagnostics in the USA ... |

Ok, now that I've read up a bit more
seems like Niacin can cause skin irritation/headaches, probably not best for jogging outside on a hot day, lol. But does taking a couple B-12 tablets to increase metabolism before working out make sense to anyone? What about a stimulant like ephedrine? I think I'll save the Niacin for later this evening and drink some cranberry juice.
Thanks y'all! |

gotcha, thanks for the tips. I've read up some more on B-12, probably just better for aiding weight loss but most stuff I've seen says it can help increase metabolism, so we'll see if it makes my cardio efforts that much more worth it.
Im really not too concerned overall, I think I'm giving myself enough time w/o smoking anyways, but I'll continue to post. Appreciate the reply

my interpretation of the "cranberry method" is that direutics cause you to pee more frequently ... of course so does drinking lots of liquids in general, but I did slam a ton of it and used a Zydot product before and that seemed to work.
again, i feel like the tests i've had to take are rudimentary, probably looking to detect higher dosages, not for probation or government positions |

Pretty good info/advice about niacin, read to the bottom and look at Biggumz Of DaVille's post.
NIcotinic ACid vitamIN B3(Niacin) also The role of niacin in detoxification personally, a few of my friends always used to have drugtests for probation and always just ate a buncha niacin. Last edited by Spendthrift; Jul-02-2008 at 19:46. |

"The niacin myth was started by L Ron Hubbard over 50 years ago and is a pure myth. As stated before he had no medical training and claimed to be an expert from the human body to marine science to nuclear engineer. He was shit house crazy and to listen to this would be a mistake. Ironically, you tried to back up his myth with his own mythical information. Yes niacin helps lower certain triglyceride levels but the way it works to help with triglycerides makes no difference to THC."

it only felt weird the first day I took it, otherwise I barely notice, taking 500 mg generally
sorta treating it like any supplement, using it post work outs as it seems it could have some beneficial weightloss effects ... i dunno if it'll help that much, seems like most folks use it the day of, but maybe i'm on to somethin new? |

ha ha, thanks for the good vibes.
little more background on my usage, daily smoke for some time now, worked with a bag of middies for about a month, stopped for a week, smoked once, now in the ten day cycle. i generally run a few miles a day to stay in shape, been drinking lots of fluids and workin with some vitamins. got one more masking agent to make me feel safe on test day, not sure if that changes anything but i appreciate the reassurance! |
